The results of observations for a periode of 4–8 years are exposed on the intensity of symptoms of Sharka (plum pox) disease, of 107 peach and nectarine varieties and clones, after natural infection of the trees in the field. It is found that all the varieties showed symptoms of the disease in different degree and no one was resistant. A percentage of 44,8% of the varieties showed low sensitivity index on fruits (below 1), while on 15 varieties this index was very low (below 0,5). There are also differences on the intensity of symptoms among clones of the same variety. Also in some cases the sensitivity index of the same variety changes in different areas.
