'Vranac' has the most significant economical importance in Montenegro and presents a valuable and recognizable Montenegrin brand. This paper presents three year results (2010-2012) of experiments designed to study the effects of two rootstocks on grape and wine quality of 'Vranac'. Research was conducted on Ćemovsko field, subregion Podgorica on 'Vranac' on rootstocks '1103P' and '41B'. The aim of research was to determine the influence of rootstock on yield vine-1, number of bunches vine-1, bunch weight and on content of must (sugar content, pH and total acids). Wine quality parameters (alcohol, total dry extract, total polyphenols and anthocyanins) were also recorded. Results showed that 'Vranac' grafted on '1103P' produced lower yield vine-1, lighter bunches and higher content of sugar in must. Wine made of 'Vranac' on '1103P' had higher alcohol content and significantly higher values of total polyphenols (3.17 g L-1) and total anthocyanins (706.33 mg L-1). Based on sensory analysis, wines made of 'Vranac' on '1103P' was preferred.
