Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (NPs) was performed by incubation of metal salts with Trichoderma harzianum hyphal or mycelial extract (HE)/filtrate (HF). The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by microscopy and spectroscopy techniques and evaluated by poisoned food technique under in vitro conditions on different media viz; Czapek dox agar, potato dextrose agar, yeast dextrose agar and water agar against Fusarium moniliforme. These NPs varied in their efficacy for curbing the growth of F. moniliforme and the per cent growth inhibition increased with increase in NPs concentration. Maximum per cent hyphal growth inhibition (60.09%) was recorded for T. harzianum HE silver NPs at 800 ppm on Czapex dox medium followed by T. harzianum HE silver NPs at 460 ppm (53.15%) on yeast dextrose agar medium.
