Biofertilizer and biopesticides : the emerging trends in horticultural research

It is now obvious, that the use of synthetic fertilizer and residual pesticides in the land damage the fertility of the soil. Reduce the nutritional value of the crop and a numerous chronic disease to the crop cause a poor quality of food. Even also the biological system adversely affected, decreasing the trend of the production even after using higher doses of fertilizer and pesticide. Besides, the use of synthetic fertilizer and parathion pesticide and oil spillage is causing several environmental problems. Experiencing the adverse effect of chemical disaster, peoples are more inclined to solve and rectify the problems by biological systems. The biological process offers their unique advantages over the other processes. Therefore, it was of interest here to study the biofertilizer production, their use and characterize their function to supplement the nutrients in the soil, to detoxify the residual pesticide (parathion) which is less toxic and less hazardous to environment. Mainly here the work emphasize on the phosphate solubilizing biofertilizer (Aspergillus niger) production and biocatalytic detoxification of parathion.
