Toward more precise definition and evaluation of televised educational programming
1978
Aversa, Fran | Morrison, Gary R.
Three types of educational programming are discussed and defined: instructional television, educational television, and cultural television. Three design variables intended audience, instructional intent, and intended use and evaluation variables aesthetic appeal and learning achievement are specified for each program and summarized in a table. The definitions are useful for designing a program, determining resource commitment, and evaluating programs. It is the combination of variables that should be considered for such development and evaluation.
