Tritoniopsis cinnamomea is a new species from the Piketberg, Western Cape, allied to Tritoniopsis parviflora and distinguished from it by creamy white flowers with the apices and outer surface of the tepals flushed dark brownish pink; narrow, linear tepals up to 2.5mm wide; and slightly longer filaments 15–16mm long. The new species is illustrated and described. It is one of a group of seven species with fragrant, yellow or cream-coloured flowers with filaments 3–14mm long and yellow anthers 3–5mm long with reduced apiculae up to 0.5mm long. We provide a key to the species in this group.
