Olive trees can be infected with 15 different viruses, and special problem are latent infections that are very frequent. Since olive is vegetative propagated crop viruses are effectively transmitted. In the article is given short description of viruses of olive trees, symptoms they can cause, possibilities of their transmission, detection and control with special accent on their occurrence in Croatia.
