Almost all about Barley
1978
Information about the history of barley and its uses is presented. It is grown in nearly every country of the world, and it is one of the four major feed grains produced in the United States. This grain is believed to be one of the first grains grown by man, and it has a wide ecological range. Barley kernels have been found in sites inhabited in 5,000 BC; it was probably first sown in the United States in 1602. Barley has been used and in some places is still used for brewing, for livestock feed, and as flour.
