Black scurf and fungal foliar diseases of potato could significantly be reduced by the treating with organic amendments in different combinations. Minimum incidence of the disease (8.93%) wasre corded on those plots were treated with FYM @20 t/ha. + 150:80:100 kg/ha NPK while, amongst total organically amended treatments, minimum disease incidence (11.85%) was recorded on those plots were treated with FYM on N basis as per recommendation as compared to control (25.67%). Plant nutrient sources are also responsible for the management of foliar and tuber borne diseases. Minimum percent disease intensity of early blight, phoma leaf spot & cercospora leaf spot were recorded 2.32%, 2.62% & 1.28% at 30 DAS and 19.80%, 36.56% & 11.46%, respectively at 90 DAS in treated plot with FYM @20 t/ha. + 150:80:100 kg/ha NPK treatment. Among the organic sources of plant nutrients, minimum percent disease intensity of early blight, phoma leaf spot & cercospora leaf spot were recorded 3.57%, 3.89% & 1.42% at 30 DAS and 38.16%, 44.09% & 13.76%, respectively at 90 DAS in treated plot with FYM on N basis as per recommended treatment.
