Who first suggests going out to eat?
1979
Wood, Leonard
The Gallup Orgainzation used telephone interviews to ask respondents who had eaten out recently, who initially suggested going out for a meal? A majority of those interviewed reported that they had initiated the idea. Ten percent of the respondents said a spouse or friends were initiators. Children initiated only 4 percent of the dinners out; these were usually eaten at a fast-food establishment. Men and women working outside the home suggested eating out more often than housewives.
