Relighting the fires with an employee revitalization program
1983
Brewer, Jack | Dubnicki, Carol
Techniques for improving staff morale and productivity are discussed. The problem of the devitalized employee (6 characteristics are listed) is one that needs attention. A program developed to assist management and the devitalized employee consists of 4 phases: Why me (looks at why the employee was selected for participation); exploration (supervisor and employees meet to discuss hopes and fears); diagnosis (identifies achievement-motivation patterns); and action (develops and implements an action plan). Results of this program are evaluated. (kbc)
