The perfect food? Not everyone agrees
1987
Robeznieks, A.
The portrayal of milk as an important part of osteoporosis prevention in current promotion and advertising is challenged. The fact that too much protein (found in milk) can decrease calcium absorption; milk's fat content; lactose intolerance concerns; theories that milk consumption is unhealthy and barbaric; milk as a mediocre calcium source; bacterial and radiation contamination of milk; raw milk controversies and the overabundance of milk in America are discussed in an attempt to refute milk as a perfect food.
