Contribution to the study of “Algorta” soils | Contribución al estudio de los suelos “Algorta”

英语. The Algorta mapping unit extends over than 135.000 ha in the Departments of Rio Negro and Paysandú (centralwestern Uruguay). Dominant soils are Argisoles and Planosoles Dístricos Ocricos, sandy family (Typic and Arenic Hapludalfs); associated soils are Brunosoles Subéutricos or Dístricos Típicos or Lúvicos (Abruptic Argiudolls) of the same textural family. Morphometric and analytical information is compiled and discussed en this paper and a data base is created, with the purpose of improving the knowledge about characterization and classification of these soils. The classification of some profiles included in the study is revised and they are now classified as Luvisoles (Arenic Hapludalfs). It is suggested to include them as accessory soils in the Algorta soil mapping unit. It is also proposed to define three soil Series: «Piedras Coloradas», with Planosoles Dístricos Ocricos, sandy family, hydromorphic phase; «Quebracho», with Argisoles Dístricos Ocricos or Melánicos, Albicos, Abrúpticos or Típicos, sandy family,; and «Menafra», with Luvisoles Ocricos (Albicos, Abrúpticos y Típicos), sandy family.

西班牙语; 卡斯蒂利亚语. La unidad Algorta de la Carta de Reconocimiento del Uruguay (CRSU) ocupa 135.000 ha en los departamentos de Río Negro y Paysandú (centro oeste de Uruguay). Los suelos dominantes de esta asociación son Argisoles y Planosoles Dístricos Ocricos, arenosos (Hapludalfes Típicos y Arénicos). Como asociados ocurren Brunosoles Subéutricos y Dístricos Típicos y Lúvicos (Argiudoles Abrúpticos), arenosos. En este trabajo se sistematiza y discute información morfométrica y analítica de estos suelos, con el objetivo de profundizar el conocimiento sobre su caracterización y taxonomía. La clasificación de algunos de los suelos considerados fue revisada y ahora se clasifican como Luvisoles (Hapludalfes Arénicos); se sugiere incluirlos como accesorios en la unidad. Se propone la definición de tres Series de suelos en esta unidad: “Piedras Coloradas”, integrada por Planosoles Dístricos Ocricos arenosos, fase hidromórfica; “Quebracho”, integrada por Argisoles Dísticos Ocricos/Melánicos, Albicos, Abrúpticos/Típicos, familia arenosa; y “Menafra”, integrada por Luvisoles Ocricos (Albicos, Abrúpticos y Típicos), familia arenosa.
