In Lake Victoria there were various increases at fish landings. Nile Perch, which was stocked increasing the lake in 1962, were taken in inquantities of between 7 and 15 lbs. in weight. tilapia nilotica have also been caught in greater numbers particularly in the Bukakata Kagera River areas, and the using of larger mesh nets has encouraged greater increases in catches.
