Riesgos físicos y mecánicos para la seguridad y salud ocupacional de los trabajadores de la planta embotelladora de agua Sultana

The proposed investigation was carried out in Km ½ via Canuto, Bolívar canton, Manabí province, with the objective of evaluating the physical and mechanical risks in the Sultana water bottling plant. It began with the collection of information through an interview with the plant manager, in order to know the different processes that are executed within the place and their administrative distribution, a survey was applied to the plant workers with the Which could be known that they are exposed to ccupational accidents in some of the areas, mainly associated with high temperatures, materials and equipment that, when not used correctly, can affect the health of personnel. Physical and mechanical risks were identified, using a checklist. The physical risks found were: noise, light, temperature and humidity, on the other hand, the mechanical risks were the following: obstacles on the floor, disorder, reduced physical space and handling of short-pointed tools. After identifying the risks, the estimation of their levels was carried out, based on the probability of occurrence, severity of the damage and vulnerability, obtaining as a result that temperature and humidity represent the most important risks, while obstacles on the floor reached the highest weight. Finally, a minimum plan for the Prevention of Occupational Risks was prepared in accordance with Ecuadorian regulations, in order to protect the health and integrity of workers.

La investigación planteada se efectuó en el Km ½ vía Canuto, cantón Bolívar, provincia de Manabí, tuvo como objetivo evaluar los riesgos físicos y mecánicos en la planta embotelladora de agua Sultana. Se inició con la recolección de información a través de una entrevista al gerente de la planta, con el fin de conocer los diferentes procesos que se ejecutan dentro del lugar y su distribución administrativa, se aplicó una encuesta dirigida a los trabajadores de la planta con la cual se pudo conocer áreas expuestas a accidentes laborales, como zona de temperaturas elevadas, además de los espacios de materiales y equipos que al no ser utilizados de manera correcta pueden llegar a afectar la salud del personal. Se identificaron los riesgos físicos y mecánicos, utilizando una lista de chequeo. Los riesgos físicos encontrados fueron: ruido, luz, temperatura y humedad, por otro lado, los riesgos mecánicos fueron los siguientes: obstáculos en el piso, desorden, espacio físico reducido y manejo de herramientas cortopunzantes. Después de la identificación de los riesgos, se procedió a realizar la estimación de sus niveles, en base a la probabilidad de ocurrencia, gravedad del daño y vulnerabilidad, obteniendo como resultados que la temperatura y la humedad representan los riesgos más importantes, mientras que los obstáculos en el piso alcanzaron la mayor ponderación. Finalmente se elaboró un plan mínimo de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales acorde a la normativa ecuatoriana, con el fin de precautelar la salud e integridad de los trabajadores.
