The area of the test according to the registrations of INAMHI possesses a half temperature of 24º C, a half annual precipitation of 630 mm, hours light average of five hours depending on the time, a relative humidity of 90%, the floors are of texture arcillo - oozy, and with a neuter pH of 7. The treatments were T1. 1 stump - 3 yolks + kelpak; T2 ½ stump with 1 yolks + Kelpak; T3. ½ stump + 2 yolks + Kelpak 10 cc; T4 Son of water + 3 yolks + Kelpak and Witness (stump with 3 yolks).The variables in study for the present research work were the to take the following root: Percentage to the 30, 45 and 60 days, I Number of yolks stimulated by stump, Height of yolks to the 30 and 45 days, Number of leaves to the 30 and 45 days, Percentage of functional roots to the 60 days, Long of the roots to the 60 days and Weight of the roots to the 60 days. Con el método de la técnica del enraizamiento a partir de la aplicación de un bioestimulante de crecimiento en yemas de banano se buscó disminuir los costos de inversión por la compra de cormos fue el centro de la presente investigación, para lo cual se planteó los siguientes objetivos: 1.- Establecer cuál es el mejor método de propagación por división de cepas agámica en banano de la variedad Williams entre los tratamientos y 2.- Determinar el cual es el mejor sustrato para obtener el mejor porcentaje de plantas propagadas para la siembra o trasplante definitivo La investigación de lo realizó en la granja experimental Santa Inés de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Técnica de Machala. La zona del ensayo según los registros del INAMHI posee una temperatura media de 24º C, una precipitación media anual de 630 mm, horas luz promedio de cinco horas dependiendo de la época, una humedad relativa del 90 %, los suelos son de textura arcillo - limoso, y con un pH neutro de 7. De acuerdo a la zona de vida natural de Holdridge la región correspondiente a un Bosque Húmedo – Tropical (bh – T). Se empleo Cepas de banano de hibrido Willams, sustrato de siembra, cajas de cristal y herramientas. Los tratamientos fueron T1. 1cepa-3 yemas+ kelpak; T2 ½ cepa con 1 yema+ Kelpak; T3. ½ cepa + 2 yemas + Kelpak 10 cc; T4 Hijo de agua + 3 yemas + Kelpak y Testigo (cepa con 3 yemas) .Las variables en estudio para el presente trabajo de investigación fueron las siguientes:Porcentaje de enraizamiento a los 30, 45 y 60 días, Numero de yemas estimuladas por cepa, Altura de yemas a los 30 y 45 días, Número de hojas a los 30 y 45 días, Porcentaje de raíces funcionales a los 60 días, Largo de las raíces a los 60 días y Peso de las raíces a los 60 días. La metodología incluyó, Selección del material: se utilizó 1 cepa de banano sana y vigorosa; tipo “cebollín” y que tengan desde una a tres “yemas” cada uno y por tratamiento; a las cepas seleccionadas se les removió los restos de tierra con abundante agua, y con un cuchillo se eliminan las raíces, partes del cormo que se encuentren afectadas por daños causados por plagas o microorganismos y la porción aérea, dejando sólo una porción que permita sujetarlo con la mano. Desinfección: se preparó una solución de agua y cloro a razón de 5 ml por litro de agua, en la cual se sumergieron los cormos durante 10 minutos para su desinfección..Siembra: las cepas limpias y desinfectadas previo a la siembra se sumergieron en una solución de Kelpak durante 10 minutos para luego ser sembradas en las cajas de cristal previamente preparadas con su sustrato y a los 30 días se empezaran a evaluar las variables. El diseño experimental empleado fue, Completamente al azar con cinco tratamientos y dos repeticiones:La novísima tecnología de potenciar la producción de yemas a la cepas de banano de la variedad Willams la cual se maneja un sustrato enriquecido con humus, humus macerado con hidróxido de potasio más el Bioestimulante Kelpak de la Basf. La estimulación para la formación de yemas a partir de “una cepas con tres yemas + el bioestimulante 10 ml (T2) y T3. “Media cepa con dos yemas + Kelpak” produjo los mejores resultados en el análisis de las variables relativas a la altura de las yemas, y desarrollo del sistema radicular en peso y volumen a los 60 días. El testigo tradicional fue superado por los diferentes tratamientos experimentales; sin existir diferencias relevantes entre emplear la cepa entera o dividida en dos partes.
