Formation of undergrowth under the canopy of birch tree stands in Bilimbaevskoye forestry of the Sverdlovsk region | Формирование подроста под пологом березовых древостоев в Билимбаевском лесничестве Свердловской области

The study is focused on the species composition and undergrowth amount in birch stands growing on the territory of the Seversky district forestry of the Bilimbaevsky forestry in the Sverdlovsk region. Four trial plots have been established to determine the taxation indicators of the forest stands. On the trial plots, a complete enumeration of trees by diameter and a partial measurement of tree heights have been performed. Undergrowth has been accounted for on plots of 2 x 2 m. The taxation characteristics of the studied birch stands, the occurrence, and the number of undergrowth in terms of large viable one are presented. A graph of the dependence of the viable undergrowth number on the relative density of the stand was also formed. According to the graph, it can be seen that the largest undergrowth number is concentrated in stands with a lower relative density. The amount of undergrowth in the studied birch forest stands varies from 0,6 to 3,5 thousand pcs/ha. It is established that successful natural reforestation is impossible at any trial plots. In three out of the four birch plantations, spruce is the predominant species in the undergrowth. The most represented categories of size are medium and large for spruce undergrowth and small for pine undergrowth. In one of the birch forests, spruce has already formed the second layer of the forest stand with the composition 6S2P2B+L. The predominance of pine undergrowth has been recorded only in one plot. The placement of undergrowth of various species in the studied plantations is uneven in most cases. In the future, birch forests will be replaced by spruce forests in the studied areas. In the future, it's necessary to realize forestry operations promoting the growth and development of spruce undergrowth.

俄语. Изучали видовой состав и количество подроста в березовых насаждениях, произрастающих на территории Северского участкового лесничества Билимбаевского лесничества Свердловской области. Для определения таксационных показателей древостоев было заложено четыре пробные площади. На пробных площадях проводился сплошной перечет деревьев по диаметру и частичный обмер высот деревьев. Учет подроста производился на учетных площадках размером 2 x 2 м. Приведена таксационная характеристика исследуемых березовых древостоев, встречаемость и количество подроста в пересчете на крупный жизнеспособный. Был сформирован график зависимости количества жизнеспособного подроста от относительной полноты древостоя. По графику можно увидеть, что наибольшее число подроста сконцентрировано в древостоях с меньшей относительной полнотой. Количество подроста в исследуемых березняках варьирует от 0,6 до 3,5 тыс. шт./га. Установлено, что успешное естественное лесовосстановление на момент исследований возможно только на одной пробной площади. На трех из четырех пробных площадей преобладающей породой в составе подроста является ель. Наиболее представленными категориями подроста ели по размеру являются средний и крупный, а сосны – мелкий и средний. В одном из березняков уже сформировался второй ярус древостоя с составом 6Е2С2Б+Л. Преобладание соснового подроста зафиксировано лишь на одном исследуемом участке. Размещение подроста различных пород в насаждениях в большинстве случаев неравномерное. В перспективе следует ожидать смены березняков на ельники. В дальнейшем необходимо проводить лесохозяйственные мероприятия, способствующие росту и развитию елового подроста.
