En la presente publicación los autores informan sobre un mutante "macho-estéril" encontrado en Ranunculus asiaticus L. Los resultados de los cruzamientos respectivos indican que el carácter está gobernado por un solo gen recesivo (ms). Se hacen consideraciones sobre el posible aprovechamiento práctico de dicho mutante.
