Increasing food supplies and conserving the environment will be high on the agenda. Delegates will also consider the proper use and exploitation of tropical forests. CIMMYT Director General Donald Winkelmann will present changes being made at CIMMYT including the establishment of a new biotechnology laboratory. WARDA Director General Eugene Terry will present a five year blueprint for research on rice in West Africa.
