Morfología comparada del esqueleto craneal en tres especies del género Kentropyx Spix (Squamata, Teiidae)

英语. The present study compares the morphology of the bones of the cranium of three species of Kentropyx, namely; K. viridistriga. K. striata y K. calcarata. Significant differences were found arnong the three species in the following aspects: cranial morphology; premaxilar; frontal; postfrontal-postorbital; parietal and epipterygoid. Related to the bones carrying teeth only maxilar and dentarium showed significant differences related only to the nurnber of teeth, but not regarding its morphology.

Se encontraron diferencias significativas entre estas tres especies en los siguientes aspectos: morfología craneal; premaxilar; frontal; postfrontal-postorbital; parietal y epipterigoides. Con relación a los huesos portadores de dientes, solo el maxilar y el dentario presentaron diferencias significativas en cuanto al número, no así en la morfología dentaria.
