In the organic industry the usage of concentrates to feed dairy cows is discussed controversially. In the present study it was evaluated how many German Bioland farmers use none or few concentrates for dairy cows. 26 farmers using less than 500 kg concentrates per cow and year were interviewed. On average they have 30 dairy cows, 51 ha, producing 5.720 kg milk with 155 kg concentrates per cow and year.
