[EN] The purpose of the survey was to study the influence of the in vitro culture on the fertility of vines of Vitis vinifera L., cv. albariño. The vines had been growing free in the fields for 4 years previously. Ten vines were studied. Only five of them were pruned, cutting off at the 10—11 node of the cane, leaving rods with 10-11 buds. The other five vines grew free, cutting off the incorrect matured parts, during the pruning season. The pruned vines were either infertile or its fertility was very low or weak (measuring the number and the size of the grapes), as it was demonstrated in the survey. However, in the vines that grew free, the fertility was superior than in the pruned vines, its shoots had more grapes, and were heavier and bigger in the apex point of the vine.

[ES] Se estudió la influencia del cultivo in vitro sobre la fertilidad en cepas de Vitis vinifera L., cv. albariño, que llevaban cuatro años en campo. Se sometieron cinco cepas a una poda en la que se dejaron a la altura de los nudos 10-11, varas con 10—11 yemas. Otras cinco cepas se dejaron crecer libremente, eliminando únicamente en la época de poda las partes mal agostadas. Se demostró que en las cepas de poda más baja la fertilidad era en algunos casos nula, y en otros muy débil, tanto por el número, como por el peso y tamaño de los racimos. En las cepas que se dejaron crecer libremente, sin embargo, la fertilidad fue mucho mayor, apareciendo los pámpanos con mayor cantidad de racimos y de mayor peso, en los últimos nudos.
