Alternativas de deshidratación de lodos de una planta de tratamiento de agua potable

La planta de tratamiento de lodos propuesta se compone de los procesos de pre-sedimentación, mezcla rápida, floculación, decantación y un tanque homogenizador que recibe los lodos sedimentados del pre-sedimentador y decantador, para derivarlos al filtro prensa de placas donde serán deshidratados. Además, el reaprovechamiento de estos lodos deshidratados será determinado por el Ministerio de Vivienda Construcción y Saneamiento (MINAM [D.S. N° 1278], 2016). Se compararon tres alternativas de deshidratación para tratar los lodos descargados hacia el río Rímac por los decantadores y filtros de la PTAP La Atarjea, siendo estas tecnologías: la prensa de placas, la centrífuga y los lechos de secado de lodos; las cuales produjeron un lodo deshidratado con una concentración de 538 685,53; 134 473,68 y 350 000 mg/L de sólidos totales, respectivamente. Y un volumen de 44,32; 421,61 y 181,08 m3 de lodo deshidratado, respectivamente, al deshidratar un mismo volumen de 2218,98 m3 acumulados en un día en el tanque homogenizador. La tecnología de deshidratación seleccionada es el filtro prensa de placas, porque genera un lodo deshidratado que ocupa un menor volumen (44,32 m3), con un menor peso (51.43 Tn) y brinda la mejor concentración de sólidos totales (538 685,53 mg/L). Además, la planta de tratamiento de lodos, genera un caudal clarificado de 0,507m3/s como efluente del decantador con 1,23 UNT; este último caudal será devuelto a los embalses reguladores de la PTAP La Atarjea para su reutilización, debido a que cumple los parámetros de: sulfatos, cloruros, conductividad, nitratos, bacterias coliformes totales, bacterias coliformes fecales, y parámetros de concentración de metales de: Al, As, B, Ba, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Sb y Zn; exigidos por el ECA de Agua - Categoría 1 A2 (MINAM [D.S. N° 015], 2015).

The dehydration technology selected is the plate press because it generates a dehydrated sludge that occupies a smaller volume (44,32 m3), with a lower weight (51,43 Tn) and provides the best total solids concentration (538 685, 53 mg/L). In addition, the sludge treatment plant generates a clarified flow of O, 507 m3/s, with 1,23 UNT; This last flow will be returned to the regulating reservoirs of the PTAP “La Atarjea" for its reuse, because it fulfill the parameters of: sulfates, chlorides, conductivity, nitrates, total coliform bacteria, fecal coliform bacteria, and metal concentration parameters of: Al, As, B, Ba, Cu, Fe, Mn, Pb, Sb and Zn; Required by the Water ECA - Category 1 A2 (MINAM [D.S. N° 015], 2015).
