The effect of mineral fertilization on the content of phenolic acids and mass of roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge

Research on the mineral fertilization of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge was carried out in the years 2000 - 2002. It was stated that the potassium fertilization has the strongest effect on the content of phenolic acids and on mass of roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza. The effect of atmospheric conditions in particular years is also essential. The optimal doses of fertilizers (pure component content in kg · ha-) were the following: N - 100, P2O5 - 30, K20 - 180. Having used this fertilizing combination the average content of phenolic acids was 4,62% and the average aerial dry mass of roots was 13,21 g per 1 plant after one year of cultivation.
