Pathology of fowl colibacillosis

Colibacillosis is caused by Escherichia coli in chickens. This disease was reported firstly in the end of 19sup(th) century. Since then this disease is prevalent in chickens, especially broilers. Many infectious diseases have been controlled by vaccination and other control measures. This article describes the pathology and pathogenesis of colibacillosis in chickens.
