The market structure and conduct of by-products from agriculture and the food processing industry in resource recycling system: A focus on China food processing industry 'Hebei Deli'

The food processing industry produces processed foods using farm products and, using by-products from farmers. The construction of the resources circulation system to use these as resource, and promotion of using these, came to be demanded there. It becomes important to elucidate the decision mechanism of amount (including the quantity of the unused by-products) and the price of by-products traded under the system (including negative prices for wastes) to examine the promotion of using by-products in the resources circulation system. In this study, we intend for the example of the resources circulation system led by food processing company 'Hebei Deli' in China. 'Hebei Deli' cultivates corn and it buys cow dung from local cow breeding farmhouses and fertilize corn. By-products from production of corn by 'Hebei Deli' and its contract farmers become the feed of the cow, there. 'Hebei Deli', a cow breeding farmhouse, the production main constituent such as the cob processing company constitute agriculture, the circulation system of the food industry by-product.
