Variabilidad para rendimiento y sus componentes, y correlaciones fenotípicas en chile serrano Capsicum annuum L.

英语. The present investigation was carried out on Southern Experimental Research Station, Tamaulipas during june to december 1988. Twenty germplasm accessions of chile serrano were evaluated using two commercial check varieties (Altamira and Tampiqueño 74). A randomized block design was chosen with three replications. The objective of this study was to observe the genetic variability, to estimate genetic parameters and phenotypic correlations for different agronomic traits.  The analysis of variance indicated considerable differences for the following characters: fruit yield, number of fruits/plant, fruit diameter and length, plant height and days to flower among the genotypes. The fruit yield varied between 5.42 to 15.88 t/ha and the line 15 expressed a maximum yield of 15.88 t/ha, followed by the accessions 11, 8, 3 and Altamira. The accessions 15, 11 and 8 manifested 23.9, 15 and 0.6% more yield when compared to check variety Altamira. With respective to yield components the line 5 was superior in fruit length, line 14 for fruit diameter and line 8 for mean fruit weight.  Higher values of broad-sense heritability was recorded for fruit yield, number of fruits/plant, fruit length, plant hight and days to flower. A positive an a significant correlation was obtained between fruit yield and number of fruits/plant.

La presente investigación se llevó a cabo en el Campo Experimental, al Sur de Tamaulipas (INIFAP), y se evaluaron 20 líneas experimentales, más las variedades comerciales Altamira y Tampiqueño 74, empleados como testigos, bajo un diseño de bloques al azar con tres repeticiones. El objetivo del estudio fue observar la variabilidad genética, así como estimar parámetros genéticos y correlaciones fenotípicas en este cultivo.  Se encontraron diferencias considerables para las características tales como: rendimiento de frutos, número de frutos por planta, longitud de fruto, diámetro de fruto, altura y días a floración entre los genotipos estudiados. El rendimiento varió entre 5 420 a 15 540 kg/ha y la línea 15 registró un máximo rendimiento de 15 540 kg/ha siguiéndole las líneas 11, 8, 3 y Altamira. Las líneas 15, 11 y 8 manifestaron rendimientos de 23.9, 15 y 0.6 % más, en comparación al testigo (Altamira). En cuanto a los componentes de rendimiento, la línea 5 fue superior para longitud de fruto, la 14 para diámetro de fruto y la 8 para peso promedio de fruto.  Se detectaron valores altos de heredabilidad para los caracteres: rendimiento, número de frutos por planta, longitud de fruto, altura de planta y días a floración. También se observó una correlación positiva y significativa entre rendimiento y número de frutos por planta.
