Research on food-related chronic diseases in Latin America and the Caribbean : are we building the evidence for gender-equitable approaches?
2019
Ludwick, Teralynn | Neri, Daniela
The findings from this study suggest that gender inequity is not well addressed in food environment research from the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. This study included a survey regarding LAC researchers and the integration of gender considerations in research for healthier food environments, as well as a participatory workshop towards future gender-sensitive and gender-transformative research and capacity building. It examined current practice and barriers faced by LAC researchers.
