Potcelmu nozīme ābeļu ziedu mehāniskās retināšanas pēcietekmei uz šķirņu ražošanas periodiskumu = Sustainability of mechanical thinning of apple blossoms in interaction with rootstocks on production periodicity

A frequently observed phenomenon in apple orchards is periodic production, such a tendency is expressed in most, especially abundantly producing, varieties. In order to reduce periodicity and ensure the stability of production, thinning should be done already during flowering in order to encourage the emergence of flower buds for the next year's crop. The evaluation of the effect of mechanical thinning of rootstocks and flowers was started in the trial from 2016–2021. In the following years (2022–2023), mechanical thinning of flowers was no longer carried out. Therefore, observations were made about the after-effects of thinning carried out in previous seasons. In the period of 2020–2021, the yield was significantly higher in all variants where mechanical thinning was not performed. On the other hand, in the period of 2022–2023 significant differences were observed between rootstocks and varieties. The general trends show that the most productive varieties are ‘Gita’, ‘Ligol’ and ‘Antei’, and the least productive are such varieties as ‘Baltais Dzidrais’, ‘Konfetnoje’ un ‘Kovaļenkovskoje’. Varieties on rootstock B.396 show a significantly higher yield. More stable production (production periodicity index is lower) as a result of thinning was observed on rootstock B.396 varieties ‘Kovalenkovskoye’, ‘Rubin’, ‘Gita’, ‘Antei’ and ‘Ligol’. Also, there is a tendency that the index is lower on rootstock B.396. Thinning has had a beneficial effect on production stability for most of the studied cultivars. [LAV] Bieži novērota parādība ābeļu dārzos ir periodiska ražošana. Šāda tendence ir izteikta vairumam, it sevišķi bagātīgi ražojošu, šķirņu. Lai mazinātu periodiskumu un nodrošinātu ražošanas stabilitāti, retināšana veicama jau ziedēšanas laikā, lai veicinātu ziedpumpuru ieriešanos nākamā gada ražai. Retināšana var uzlabot arī augļu kvalitāti potenciāli pārbagātos ražas gados. Alternatīva ķīmiskajai retināšanai ir mehāniskā retināšana. Potcelmu un ziedu mehāniskās retināšanas ietekmes novērtējums tika uzsākts izmēģinājumā no 2016. līdz 2021. gadam. Nākamajos gadus (2022.–2023. g.) mehāniskā ziedu retināšana vairs netika īstenota. Šī iemesla dēļ tika veikti novērojumi par iepriekšējās sezonās veiktās retināšanas pēcietekmi. Periodā no 2020. līdz 2021. gadam būtiski lielāka raža bijusi visos variantos, kur netika veikta mehāniskā retināšana. Savukārt periodā no 2022. līdz 2023. gadam būtiskas atšķirības novērotas starp potcelmiem un šķirnēm. Kopējās tendences apliecina, ka augstražīgākās šķirnes ir ‘Gita’, ‘Ligol’, ‘Antej’, savukārt mazāk ražīgas ir šķirnes ‘Baltais Dzidrais’, ‘Konfetnoje’ un ‘Kovaļenkovskoje’. Būtiski lielāku ražību nodrošina šķirnes uz potcelma B.396, salīdzinot ar M.9. Stabilāka ražošana (ražošanas periodiskuma indekss – zemāks) retināšanas pēcietekmē novērota uz potcelma B.396 (pretstatā M.9) šķirnēm ‘Kovaļenkovskoje’, ‘Rubin’, ‘Gita’, ‘Antej’ un ‘Ligol’. Tāpat novērojama tendence, ka zemāks ražošanas periodiskuma indekss veidojies uz potcelma B.396. Retināšana ir sniegusi labvēlīgu ietekmi uz ražošanas stabilitāti lielākajai daļai pētāmo šķirņu.
