Características físicas e rendimento mensal em óleo de cachos de duas cultivares de dendezeiro cultivadas, sob irrigação, no Cerrado do Distrito Federal.

Rasumo - O Cerrado é uma área que abriga uma forte expansão da fronteira agrícola no Brasil, sendo utilizado para diferentes atividades agrícolas. O dendezeiro, atualmente, é uma das principais fontes de matéria-prima para produção de biocombustível e alimentação no Planeta. No Brasil, essa oleaginosa é cultivada na Região Norte e Mata Atlântica do Nordeste, onde ocorrem altas precipitações e temperaturas elevadas. O alto custo desses cultivos nessas regiões, aliados às questões ambientais, fundiárias e ocorrência de pragas e doenças, tem levado produtores rurais e empresários a cogitarem possíveis cultivos de dendê em outras áreas ou regiões do País. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo determinar as características físicas e o rendimento mensal em óleo de cachos de duas cultivares de dendezeiro de um experimento que vem sendo conduzido desde 2006, na Embrapa Cerrados, no Distrito Federal. As cultivares avaliadas foram a BRS C1001 e BRS C2501. As avaliações consistiram em colheitas mensais até que se completasse o período de um ano de avaliação. Foram avaliados o peso do cacho e sua composição física, além dos índices de rendimento em óleo do mesocarpo no cacho; óleo de palmiste no cacho e rendimento total de óleo no cacho pelo método de extração química. Durante as avaliações, os dados climáticos foram coletados na estação meteorológica da Embrapa Cerrados. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos ao acaso, em arranjo de parcela subdividida no tempo, com quatro blocos. As parcelas foram constituídas pelas duas cultivares e 12 subparcelas que correspondem a cada mês avaliado. As variáveis obtidas foram submetidas à análise de variância e as médias comparadas pelo teste de Scott knott (P<0,05). Foi também calculado o coeficiente de correlação fenotípica com base no coeficiente de correlação de Pearson, para determinar o grau de associação entre as características agronômicas dos genótipos. A cultivar C1001 foi a que apresentou maior taxa de extração de óleo de mesocarpo e rendimento total de óleo no cacho. Os rendimentos totais em óleo no cacho de ambos as cultivares, em base úmida, variaram de 25,55 a 33,86% para BRS C2501, e de 29,97 a 36,83% para a BRS C1001. Abstract - The Brazilian Savannah is a place of strong expansion of the agricultural frontier in Brazil, being used for different agricultural activities. Oil palm is currently a major source of raw material for biofuel production and food on the planet. In Brazil, this crop is grown in the north and the Atlantic forest of Bahia state, where high rainfall and high temperatures occurs. The high cost of these crops in these regions, combined with environmental and land problems and occurrence of pest and disease issues, has led farmers and business people to think on possibilities of oil palm cultivation in other areas or regions of the country. The present study aimed to obtain knowledge into the behavior of the Oil palm cultivation in the Brazilian Savannah conditions of the Federal District, Brazil, located over than 1000 meters in altitude and where periods of up to six months with minimum temperatures, low relative humidity occur simultaneously with periods of low rainfall. For it is being conducted an experiment of superior selections at Embrapa Cerrados, on a Red-Yellow clayey Oxisol. The cultivars assessed were the BRS C1001 and BRS C2501. Evaluations consisted of samples per month until it completed the one-year period of evaluation. The bunch weight and physical characteristics were evaluated as well as the rates of mesocarp oil yield in the bunch; palm kernel oil in the bunch and the total yield of oil (mesocarp + endosperm) in bunch. During the assessments, the data on maximum, minimum and average temperatures and precipitation, radiation and relative humidity collected at Embrapa Cerrados. Physical characteristics varied throughout the years within and between cultivars. It was used an experimental design of randomized blocks in a split plot arrangement in time, with four blocks. The plots were made by the two cultivars and 12 corresponding to each month evaluated subplots. The values obtained were subjected to analysis of variance and means were compared by the Scott Knott test (P <0.05). It was also calculated the coefficient of phenotypic correlation based on Pearson correlation coefficient to determine the degree of association between the genotypes of agronomic traits. Physical characteristics varied throughout the years within and between cultivars. The cultivar BRS C2501 produced the weightiest fresh bunches while the C1001 showed higher oil yield in the whole bunches. The total oil yield in bunch of both cultivars on wet basis ranged from 25.55 to 33.86% in the BRS C2501 and from 29.97 to 36.83% in the BRS C1001.
