Nunez, Ismael
AHOI (Adjusted Hydrography Optimal Interpolation) is a simple physical-statistical model developed in the Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries to produce monthly gridded in situ hydrography through various decades. The present version 22 includes not only the North Sea but almost the complete Baltic Sea as well. This run is from 1948 to 2020. The data is in netCDF format, one file per month. If you use these data, please quote them with a sentence like: “Temperature and/or salinity were obtained from a recent run of the Adjusted Hydrography Objective Interpolation (AHOI; Núñez-Riboni and Akimova, 2015)". Núñez-Riboni, I. and Akimova A, 2015. Monthly maps of optimally interpolated in situ hydrography in the North Sea from 1948 to 2013. Journal of Marine Systems 151:15-34.
