德语. In a pilot-scale study two novel digestion systems with one- and two-step operation have been tested with different agro-industrial residues. The results show, that residues with a C:N-ratio above 15 can be treated in one-step operation whereas residues with a C:N-ratio lower 10 can be treated only in two-step operation. Dependent on the properties of the residues about 50-70 % of the organic matter can be degraded within retention times of 10-20 days. The biogas production was typicall y 300-500 cubic metre per ton of dry organic matter.
