Interactive effects of a novel microbial muramidase and carbohydrase on production performance, dietary energy utilization, and carcass characteristics of broiler chicken

The experiment evaluated the interactive effects a novel microbial muramidase and carbohydrase in high fiber diets on production performance, dietary energy utilization, intestinal morphology, apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of nutrients and carcass characteristics of broiler chickens. A total of 1,152-day-old Cobb 500 chicks were randomly allotted to six treatments: low fiber (PC), high fiber (NC), PC + muramidase (350 g/t), NC + muramidase (350 g/t), PC + muramidase (350 g/t) + carbohydrase (100 g/t) and NC+ muramidase (350 g/t)+ carbohydrase (100 g/t); diets were fed for 35 days. There were no significant (P0.07) fiber x enzyme interaction in all parameters evaluated in this study.
