Perfil antropométrico y somatotipo de atletas de Jiu-Jitsu brasileño del Team Urdesa en el periodo de mayo a diciembre 2022.

Ante el incremento de deportistas interesados en jiu-jitsu brasileño como deporte de lucha en el que predomina la técnica de suelo y pocas publicaciones sobre este deporte, se realiza la presente investigación con el objetivo de determinar el perfil antropométrico y somatotipo de atletas de JiuJitsu brasileño del Team Urdesa en el periodo de mayo a diciembre 2022. El estudio fue observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal. Se tomaron en consideración datos antropométricos, somatocarta de Heath&Carter, datos de bioimpedancia y dinamómetro. En los resultados se pudo caracterizar el perfil antropométrico mediante el perfil restringido de ISAK, identificar el somatotipo y composición corporal. Se evidenció que el 81% de los deportistas tienen un somatotipo mesomorfo; sobre la composición corporal se observan los resultados en 4 compartimentos, los promedios del porcentaje de masa muscular 45,62%, masa ósea 16,38%, masa residual 14,27% y de tejido adiposo 24,37%; la masa muscular en 31,33kg, la masa ósea en 11,15kg, la masa residual en 9,26kg y el tejido adiposo en 16,69kg, llama la atención lo observado considerando que el 83,9% de la muestra de estudio, tiene un porcentaje de grasa corporal que se encuentra en: alto en grasa y obeso, considerando también el 80,6% con normopeso según IMC; la mayor desviación estándar a nivel de kilogramos la presenta la masa muscular lo que influencia en una mayor fuerza prensil. Se concluye que lo observado podría ser una ventaja competitiva en los atletas que practican este deporte.

Given the increase in athletes interested in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as a fighting sport in which the ground technique predominates and few publications on this sport, the present investigation is carried out with the objective of determining the anthropometric profile and somatotype of athletes of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Team Urdesa in the period of May to December 2022 . The study was observational, descriptive, cross-sectional. Anthropometric data, Heath & Carter somatochart, bioimpedance data and dynamometer were taken into consideration. In the results it was possible to characterize the anthropometric profile through the restricted profile of ISAK, identify the somatotype and body composition. It was evidenced that 81% of athletes have a mesomorph somatotype; Regarding body composition, the results are observed in 4 compartments, the average percentage of muscle mass 45.62%, bone mass 16.38%, residual mass 14.27% and adipose tissue 24.37%; the muscle mass at 31.33kg, the bone mass at 11.15kg, the residual mass at 9.26kg and the adipose tissue at 16.69kg, what was observed is striking considering that 83.9% of the study sample, has a percentage of body fat that is: also high in fat and obese, considering 80.6% with normal weight according to BMI; the highest standard deviation at the kilogram level is presented by muscle mass, which influences a greater grip strength. It is concluded that what was observed could be a competitive advantage in athletes who practice this sport.
