A study was done on the relationship betweend price of semen and two groups of variables: 1) characteristics of the bull's progeny test and 2) relationship with famous ancestors. The sample included 105 Holstein bulls whose semen was imported frorn the U.S.A. The following model was obtained by stepwise regression: P = 67,413.9 + 263,506 A (2.098 A -1) + 190,358 RT + 274,288 EA + 599,696 AI - - 218,739 DPL (1 - 0.0008 DPL) + 52,574 B 2 + 59,812 GT.
