Studies conducted in 2022-2023. On the cohesive sandy loam soil of the central part of Belarus, it was found that the field germination of seeds is significantly influenced by genotype in combination with weather conditions then - seed weight, depth of seed placement and sowing date. The height of maize plants depends on the conditions of moisture availability in the first half of vegetation, then sowing date, depth of seed placement and to a lesser extent on their weight and genotype close in maturity.
