The potato varieties taken for our study were: Luiza, Nemere, Redsec, Coval, Milenium and Productiv varieties. They were included into a multifactor experiment: factor A – variety; factor B – fertilization level and factor C – planting density. Concerning the yield potential, Coval and Productiv varieties registered significant distinct tuber yields over 40 t/ha. The large number of tubers per nest for all three categories was generally attained by the studied varieties, and it is given by the humidity level variation and mostly during the flowering phase
