The influence of nitrogen fertilization on potato yielding, content of nitrates in tubers and mineral nitrogen in the soil | Wpływ nawożenia azotem na plonowanie ziemniaka, zawartość azotanów w bulwach i azotu mineralnego w glebie

英语. The field experiment was conducted in the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute, Department in Jadwisin. The effects of different levels of nitrogen fertilization and years of study on yield, content of nitrates in potato tubers and quantity of mineral nitrogen in the soil after harvest of potato were determined. The experiment was carried out on light soil, which was conditioned every year with ploughing in the straw and aftercrop of white mustard. The following kinds and doses of phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen were applied: triple superphosphate — 52.3 kg P·ha-1, potassium salt — 149.4 kg K·ha-1 and different levels of ammonium nitrate - 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg N·ha-1. All the years of investigation (2003, 2004, 2005) were deficient in rainfalls in main vegetation months. The nitrogen doses and years of study significantly differentiated yield of potatoes, content of nitrates in tubers and residues of mineral nitrogen in the soil. The highest yield of tubers was obtained at the rate of 150 kg N·ha-1. The content of nitrates rose as the N-fertilization level increased, but even the highest dose (200 kg·ha-1) did not influence negatively the content of nitrates in tubers. After application doses of 150 and 200 kg N·ha-1 a high level of mineral nitrogen was stated in the soil layer of 0–60 cm after harvest of potato tubers. The nitrogen surplus may be leached from the soil into groundwater in the autumn and winter period.

Celem badań polowych przeprowadzonych w Instytucie Hodowli i Aklimatyzacji Roślin, Oddział Jadwisin było określenie plonu, zawartości azotanów w bulwach ziemniaka oraz ilości azotu mineralnego pozostającego w glebie po zbiorze ziemniaków w zależności od zróżnicowanego nawożenia azotem i lat badań. Badania przeprowadzono w warunkach gleby lekkiej, na której każdego roku przyorywano słomę i poplon gorczycy białej. Nawozy fosforowe w formie superfosfatu potrójnego stosowano w dawce 52,3 kg P·ha-1 i potasowe w formie soli potasowej w dawce 149,4 kg K·ha-1 oraz zróżnicowany poziom nawożenia azotem (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 kg N·ha-1). Wszystkie lata badań (2003, 2004, 2005) charakteryzowały się niedoborem opadów deszczu w głównych miesiącach wegetacji. Poziom dawki azotu i lata badań istotnie zróżnicowały uzyskany plon bulw, zawartość azotanów w bulwach i azotu mineralnego w glebie. Największy plon bulw uzyskano po zastosowaniu dawki 150 kg N·ha-1. Zawartość azotanów w bulwach wzrastała w miarę wzrostu dawki N, ale nawet dawka najwyższa (200 kg N·ha-1) nie spowodowała przekroczenia dopuszczalnej zawartości azotanów w bulwach. Po zastosowaniu dawek 150 i 200 kg N·ha-1 stwierdzono natomiast wysoki poziom azotu mineralnego w warstwie gleby 0–60 cm po zbiorze bulw ziemniaka. Nadmiar tego azotu może być wypłukany z gleby do wód gruntowych w okresie jesienno-zimowym.
