Analysis of the behaivor of leachates from a municipal solid wastes landfill of Havana City, Cuba | ANÁLISIS DEL COMPORTAMIENTO DE LOS LIXIVIADOS GENERADOS EN UN VERTEDERO DE RESIDUOS SÓLIDOS MUNICIPALES DE LA CIUDAD DE LA HABANA

英语. Havana City has three provincial landfills to dispose municipal solid wastes: Calle 100, Guanabacoa and Ocho Vías. The objective of the present work is to analyze the behavior of leachates monitoring results in Calle 100 landfill, carried out in 2004, 2007 and 2008. Field and laboratory measurements were made, being studied physico-chemical and microbiological indicators: temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, electrical conductivity, DBO5, DQO, TDS, TSS and TVS, heavy metals, Cr+6, total CN-, N-NH3, N-NO2, N-NO3, total N, total P, oils and fats, phenols, detergents, alkalinity, acidity and turbidity, using normalized or validated methods. The results were compared with the maximum permissible averages limits of the Cuban standard NC 27:99, to check whether this standard was accomplished. Flow measurements were carried out using the seating capacity with floats method. The organic load that was discharging to the river was calculated as 66 – 73 BOD t year-1. The results demonstrate the undesirable environmental effects of the leachates from Calle 100 landfill, taking into account that the Cuban standard for wastewater disposal is not fulfilled and the organic load that is disposed.

西班牙语; 卡斯蒂利亚语. La Ciudad de La Habana cuenta con tres vertederos provinciales para la disposición de los residuos sólidos municipales generados: Calle 100, Guanabacoa y Ocho Vías. El objetivo del presente trabajo consistió en realizar un análisis del comportamiento de los resultados del monitoreo de los lixiviados del vertedero de Calle 100 efectuado en los años 2004, 2007 y 2008. Se realizaron mediciones de campo y en el laboratorio y se estudiaron indicadores fisicoquímicos y microbiológicos tales como: temperatura, oxígeno disuelto, pH, conductividad eléctrica, DBO5, DQO, SDT, SST y STV, metales pesados, Cr+6, CN- total, N-NH3, N-NO2, N-NO3, N total, P total, aceites y grasas, fenoles, detergentes, alcalinidad, acidez, turbidez, empleando métodos normalizados o validados. Se compararon los resultados con los límites máximos permisibles promedios de la norma cubana NC 27:99, comprobándose que se incumplía con la normatividad. Se realizaron mediciones de flujo empleando el método de aforo con flotadores, calculándose que la carga orgánica que se estaba vertiendo al río era de 66 a 73 t DBO año-1. Los resultados alcanzados en el presente trabajo demuestran el importante efecto ambiental negativo de los lixiviados generados en el Vertedero de Calle 100, atendiendo a la carga que se dispone y al incumplimiento de la normatividad cubana.
