Cronografía sobre la importancia de la anatomía comparada en las ciencias de la vida (MVZ) | Chronography on the importance of comparative anatomy in life sciences (MVZ)

RESUMEN: Esta es una muestra representativa de las ideas que le dan soporte a la “Anatomía comparada”, parte integral de las temáticas curriculares en Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia y a la vez cimentan las reflexiones de la biología evolucionista. Las teorías sobre las variaciones de las especies vivas tienen comienzo en los gérmenes del  conocimiento occidental, y las explicaciones sobre su evolución se encuentran en un variado número de autores ubicados en distintas épocas; por ello se hace un  tránsito  por sus escritos y conceptos evolucionistas más destacados. Se empieza por mencionar las propuestas de los griegos que hicieron aportes en la temática, se pasa por personajes que han hecho enunciados explicativos, hasta llegar al vínculo con Charles Darwin. Para mayor claridad se toman tres estadios: historia natural, paso de la historia natural a la teoría evolucionista y biología evolucionista. Con este trabajo histórico se contribuye a motivar el estudio de los orígenes de las ciencias veterinarias.

ABSTRACT: This is a representative sample of the ideas that support the “comparative anatomy”, an integral part of the curriculum thematic in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, which also supports reflections of evolutionary biology. Theories of variations of living species have their origins in the foundation of Western knowledge, and the explanations about their evolution are found in different authors from different times. This is why this document passes through their most renowed writings and evolutionary concepts. Starting by setting out the proposals of the Greek who made contributions in this field, passing through characters who have made explanatory statements, to get to a link with Charles Darwin. For clarity it takes three stages: natural history, the step from natural history to evolutionary theory, and evolutionary biology. This Historic work helps to motivate the study of the origins of veterinary sciences.
