Biofertilizers and bioactive products, alternatives for maize-tomato association at the early sowing season | BIOFERTILIZANTES Y PRODUCTOS BIOACTIVOS, ALTERNATIVAS PARA LA ASOCIACI�?N MAÍZ-TOMATE EN EL PERÍODO TEMPRANO DE SIEMBRA

A field experiment was conducted on a typicallixiviated Red Ferralitic soil, in 2000 and 2001, with the objectiveof studying the agronomic effect of the combined use ofbiofertilizers and bioactive products on tomato development,yield and internal fruit quality. The tomato Amalia�??cv wascultivated in a nonoptimal period, under a crop associationsystem. Treatments consisted of coinoculated plants (Glomusclarum+Azospirillum brasilense) and exogenous aspersionof Biostan and Biobras-16 as bioactive products, applied atthe beginning of flowering. Results showed a compatiblerelationship between microorganisms and bioactive products,enabling an appropriate plant nutritional balance, as well as ayield between 26 and 29 t.ha-1, it being higher (12-19 %) thanthe production check; on the other hand, the fruits obtainedby these treatments had a better bromatological quality.

Con el objetivo de conocer el efecto agronómicode la utilización combinada de biofertilizantes y productosbioactivos, sobre el desarrollo, rendimiento y la calidad internadel tomate (variedad ´Amalia´), cultivado fuera del períodoóptimo bajo un sistema de asociación de cultivos, se llevó acabo un experimento de campo en el 2000 y 2001, sobre unsuelo Ferralítico Rojo lixiviado típico. Los tratamientos consistieronen plantas coinoculadas (Glomus clarum + Azospirillumbrasilense) y asperjadas foliarmente con los productosbioactivos Biostan y Biobras-16, aplicados al inicio de la floracióndel cultivo. Los resultados mostraron una relación compatibleentre microorganismos y productos bioactivos, permitieronun adecuado balance nutricional de las plantas, así comoun rendimiento entre 26 y 29 t.ha-1, siendo superior en un rangodel 12-19 % con respecto al testigo de producción; por otraparte, los frutos obtenidos con estos tratamientos presentaronuna calidad bromatológica superior.
