Caracterización hidrológica y climatológica para la estimación del recurso hídrico en la microcuenca del río Bahamón en condiciones climáticas secas y húmedas | Hydrological and climatological characterization for the estimation of water resources in the Bahamon river microbasin under dry and wet climatic conditions

El Proyecto que se desarrolla en esta oportunidad se enmarca dentro de la línea de investigación “Manejo Integrado del Recurso Hídrico” de la Universidad El Bosque, la cual pretende conocer el estado actual del recurso hídrico de la microcuenca del río Bahamón, teniendo en cuenta los diferentes factores de influencia que determinan este vital recurso, con el fin de brindar instrumentos necesarios para establecer prioridades de preservación y control de la calidad que permitan el desarrollo sostenible en la cuenca. El estudio, es la continuación del proyecto “Caracterización Hidrológica y Climatologica de la Microcuenca del Rió Bahamón para la Estimación Espacial y Temporal de la Disponibilidad Hídrica, realizado en el segundo semestre de 2005”, el cual determino la disponibilidad hídrica que en condiciones normales produce la cuenca, sin embargo es importante conocer las consecuencias que podría traer la presencia de un año seco y un año húmedo, lo cual constituye el objeto principal del presente estudio. Por lo anterior, se hace necesario identificar el año seco y húmedo en la serie histórica de 20 años generada por el modelo hidrológico SOIL, para realizar un análisis detallado de las diferentes variables hidrológicas y climatologicas, observando la variación que presentan con respecto a las condiciones normales, con el fin de conocer el comportamiento hidroclimático de la microcuenca del río Bahamón cuando se presentan condiciones climáticas secas y húmedas. Una vez realizado el análisis, se elabora el balance hídrico en la cuenca para lo que se considera un año seco y un año húmedo, con el cual se calcula la oferta hídrica total, y a partir de esta, se estima el caudal de agua disponible (oferta neta), luego se realizan las curvas de duración de caudales representativas de un año seco y un año húmedo, en las cuales se ubica la línea de demanda, dando una visión de la situación de la disponibilidad de agua actual y con las proyecciones futuras de abastecimiento. Por último con base en la metodología suministrada por el IDEAM en el Estudio Nacional del agua, se determinan los indicadores de sostenibilidad hídrica, los cuales permiten conocer el régimen Hidroclimático de la microcuenca y comunicar la información en forma simple a los diferentes niveles de la comunidad sobre fenómenos complejos.

The project developed in this opportunity is framed within the research line "Integrated Water Resource Management" of El Bosque University, which aims to know the current status of the water resource of the Bahamon River micro-basin, taking into account the different influencing factors that determine this vital resource, in order to provide the necessary tools to establish priorities for preservation and quality control that allow sustainable development in the basin. The study is the continuation of the project "Hydrological and Climatological Characterization of the Bahamon River Micro-basin for the Spatial and Temporal Estimation of Water Availability, carried out in the second semester of 2005", which determined the water availability that the basin produces under normal conditions; however, it is important to know the consequences that the presence of a dry year and a wet year could bring, which is the main purpose of this study. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the dry and wet years in the 20-year historical series generated by the SOIL hydrological model, to carry out a detailed analysis of the different hydrological and climatological variables, observing the variation they present with respect to normal conditions, in order to know the hydro-climatic behavior of the Bahamón river microbasin when dry and wet climatic conditions are present. Once the analysis is done, the water balance in the basin is prepared for a dry year and a wet year, with which the total water supply is calculated, and from this, the available water flow is estimated (net supply), then the curves of flow duration representative of a dry year and a wet year are made, in which the demand line is located, giving a vision of the situation of the current water availability and with future supply projections. Finally, based on the methodology provided by the IDEAM in the National Water Study, the water sustainability indicators are determined, which allow knowing the hydroclimatic regime of the microbasin and communicating the information in a simple way to the different levels of the community about complex phenomena.
