The pomological characteristic of three cherry-plum varieties belonged to different subspecies has been given. The prevailing aromatic components and general chemical content of their fruits have been analyzed. The peculiarities of accumulation of essential compounds in tissue with high anthocyanin content (‘Krasnomyasaya’) in comparison with varieties with yellow flesh (‘Nikitskaya Yellow’ and ‘Lyusha Yellow’) have been shown.

In particular highlight the role of scientific works of Charles Darwin, W. Rimpau, AL Sempolovskуу, IS Korzhinskуу and research institutions to increase attention to the study of local varieties of winter wheat and their improvement. Especially analyze values of Russia's first benefit from the breeding "Guide to Seed for the Advancement of cultivated plants", in which the author proposes methods for improving and creating new varieties. Since the end of XIX century selection were mainly involved in private owners on their own initiative, already in the beginning of XX century this trend more interested in the agricultural society, local and state authorities. Thanks to their support in the country organized congresses, meetings and conferences, set up research and field stations. It was during this period of transition took place in the national selection analysis.

Outcomes of reciprocal crossings new Rye donor of super-short stem with electroidness Hl-3Hl-3elel and tall Rye Variety Viatka 2 are provided. The firs generation hybrids appeared to have a short stem with regular leaf blade. In the second generation the female parent effect of short stem domination was established, as well as complete domination of tall bushiness, long-spiked plants, increased number or grains in the ear. Weight of 100 grains in the ear made 22,79 і 29, 41% of the heterosis relative to the best parent. According to the results of the research of genetic and statistical parameters of F2 breeding characteristics plants with electoid leaf blade shape were selected.

The article presents the estimation of economic and biological characteristics of indeterminant tomato hyb­ rids (Raisa F1, Macarena F1, Emotion F1, Anabel F1, Mariachi F1) under conditions of winter hydroponic. The earliest emergence of fruits is established for Macarena F1 tomato hydrid. The total number of brushes, flo­ ers and w fruits formed on the plant during the vegetation period, is determined. The degree of fruit inception, yield per plant and average weight of the plant are measured. The monthly dynamics of hybrid tomato crops is presented. The largest harvest was collected through May to July. Marketable and non-marketable portions of the harvest and commercial quality of tomato fruits are determined. A close correlation between fruit weight and fruit yield is established. The Macarena F1 hybrid is distinguished as the most precocious and high-yielding variety.

Dwarf and semi – dwarf combinations have been selected which are the most favourable for the establishment of this crop high – densed orchards in the Lisosteppe of Ukraine.

It is substantiated the mechanism of seed formation on different parts of the inflorescence of female plant with identification of it’s sowing quality. It is developed the agrotehnologcal measures aimed at improving the productivity of lettuce seed by overcoming its matrical heteroquality
