Purpose. Comparative evaluation of varieties of tomato bred by Kyiv experimental station of the Institute of vegetables and melons (IVM) NAAS of Ukraine with allowance for different fruit shapes. Methods. Field, laboratory, statistical ones. Results. Since varietal characteristics can greatly influence the course of the growth process, the experiment included phenological observations of plants growth and development, biometric measurements of plants and fruits, productivity records, besides, biochemical values of fruits with various shape were defined (flat-round and plum-shaped fruits). Varieties with the highest yield, best biochemical values and earlier fruit ripening were identified. Conclusions. Among the samples of tomato with flat-round fruits, Zoren variety had the shortest time interval from mass germination up to early ripening of fruits, Myroliubivskyi variety – in the group of plum-shaped fruits. In the first group Atlasnyi variety had the highest yield, in the second – Khoriv variety. Atlasnyi (flat-round fruits) and Oberig (plum-shaped fruits) varieties had the best biochemical values. Varieties with plum-shaped fruits excelled samples with flat-round fruits at biochemical composition.

Проведение сравнительной оценки сортов помидора селекции Киевской опытной станции Института овощеводства и бахчеводства (ИОБ) НААН с учетом разной формы плода. Методы. Полевой, лабораторный, статистический. Результаты. Поскольку сортовые особенности могут значительно влиять на прохождение ростовых процессов, в опыте проведены фенологические наблюдения, биометрические измерения растений и плодов, учет урожайности, определены биохимические показатели плодов с разной формой (плоскоокруглой и сливовидной). Выделены сорта с наиболее высокой урожайностью, с более ранним созреванием плодов. Выводы. Среди образцов помидора с плоскоокруглыми плодами самый короткий период от массовых всходов до начала созревания плодов имел сорт Зорень, в группе со сливовидной формой – Миролюбовский. Самую высокую урожайность в первой группе обеспечил сорт Атласный, во второй – Хорив. Лучшими биохимическими показателями характеризовались сорта Атласный (плоскоокруглые плоды) и Обериг (сливовидные). Сорта со сливовидной формой плодов превосходили по биохимическому составу образцы с плоскоокруглыми плодами. | Мета. Проведення порівняльної оцінки сортів помідора селекції Київської дослідної станції Інституту овочівництва та баштанництва НААН (ІОБ) з урахуванням різної форми плоду. Методи. Польовий, лабораторний, статистичний. Результати. Оскільки сортові особливості можуть значно впливати на перебіг ростових процесів, у досліді проведено фенологічні спостереження за ростом і розвитком рослин, біометричні вимірювання рослин і плодів, облік урожайності, визначено біохімічні показники плодів з різною формою (плескатоокруглою і сливоподібною). Виділено сорти з найвищою врожайністю, кращими біохімічними показниками, з більш раннім достиганням плодів. Висновки. Серед зразків помідора з плескатоокруглими плодами найкоротший період від масових сходів до початку достигання плодів мав сорт Зорень, у групі зі сливоподібною формою – Миролюбівський. Найвищу врожайність у першій групі забезпечив сорт Атласний, у другій – Хорів. Кращими біохімічними показниками характеризувались сорти Атласний (плескатоокруглі плоди) та Оберіг (сливоподібні). Сорти зі сливоподібною формою плодів переважали за біохімічним складом зразки з плескатоокруглими плодами.

The Exporter Unions Seed and Research Company (ITAS) during 2011–2013 tested winter wheat varieties bred at the Institute of Irrigates Farming (IIF) NAAS at four areas of the Central Plateau of Turkey comparing them with local varieties registered in this country. According to the results of these tests the Exporter Unions Seed and Research Company identified Kohana variety as candidate for the state registration in Turkey. Conclusions. The realisation of the innovative product in Ukraine and entitlement to use intellectual property due to licensing agreements is expected. The Institute of Irrigated Farming NAAS continues to create new varieties of winter wheat which can be transferred to other countries for testing for the purpose of introduction and further expansion.

Методики исследований как в Украине, так и в Турции соответствуют требованиям Международного союза по охране новых сортов растений (UPOV). Методы селекции – полевые, лабораторные – структурный анализ, анализы качества, статистический анализ. Результаты. Компания Exporter Unions Seed and Research Company (iTAS) на протяжении 2011–2013 гг. провела иcпытания сортов пшеницы озимой Института орошаемого земледелия (ИОЗ) НААН в четырёх местах Центрального плато Турции, сравнивая их с местными сортами, зарегистрированными в этой стране. По результатам этих испытаний компания iTAS идентифицировала сорт Кохана как кандидат для государственной регистрации в Турции. Выводы. Предусматривается реализация в Украине инновационного продукта, а также предоставление права на использование объектов интеллектуальной собственности через лицензионные договоры. В ИОЗ НААН продолжатся процесс создания новых сортов пшеницы озимой мягкой, которые могут быть переданы для испытаний в другие страны с целью интродукции и дальнейшего распространения. | Мета. Вивчення сортів озимої пшениці селекції Інституту зрошуваного землеробства НААН шляхом екологічних випробувань в Туреччині. Методики досліджень як в Україні, так і в Туреччині відповідають вимогам Міжнародного союзу з охорони нових сортів рослин (UPOV). Методи селекції – польові, лабораторні – структурний аналіз, аналізи якості, статистичний аналіз. Результати. Компанія Exporter Unions Seed and Research Company (iTAS) протягом 2011–2013 рр. провела випробування сортів пшениці озимої Інституту зрошуваного землеробства (ІЗЗ) НААН в чотирьох місцях Центрального плато Туреччини, порівнюючи їх з місцевими сортами, які зареєстровані в цій країні. За результатами цих випробувань компанія iTAS ідентифікувала сорт Кохана як кандидат для державної реєстрації в Туреччині. Висновки. Передбачається реалізація в Україні інноваційного продукту, а також надання права на використання об’єктів інтелектуальної власності через ліцензійні договори. В ІЗЗ НААН триває процес створення нових сортів пшениці озимої м’якої, які можуть бути передані для випробувань в інші країни з метою інтродукції та подальшого поширення.

The results obtained during the study of resistance of promising gooseberry varieties to Septoria leaf spot in the Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine are described. Variety samples were divided into groups by the resistance to disease. Among them none was found with complete field resistance. Sladkiy proved to be highly resistant variety. Resistance above the average is typical for Berill, Grushenka, Kooperator, Lehin, Malakhit, Rodnik, Shennon varieties. Hrossulyar, Kamenyar, Karat, Knyazhych, Kolobok, Krasnoslavyanskiy, Laskovyi, Mazershkota, Russkiy, Svityaz, Severnyi kapitan are varieties of average resistance to Septoria leaf spot. Zyelyonyi dozhd, Zlatogor, Invikta, Kubanyets, Nesluhivskyi, Slivovyi are characterized as low resistant ones.

Assessment of agroclimatic conditions in 2012–2014 and their effect on formation of frost resistance and winter hardiness of soft winter wheat is made. Elevated temperature conditions in autumn and disturbance of cold hardening conditions caused the formation of the highest frost tolerance and winter hardiness of winter wheat only up to -15°C. Under the new climatic conditions the modern varieties of myronivska breeding are able to realize 80–85% of the genetic potential by the property.

In 2011 to 2013 a study was completed for the impact of varying rates of fertilizing onto the indices of productivity for barley agrophytocenosis of Helios and Commandor, in particular, such its components as a number of productive stems, number of seeds per ear, potential biological activity of ear and photosynthetic apparatus. It is found that the level of spring barley agrophytocenosis productivity is subject both to varietal peculiarities and the rate of mineral fertilizer application. When applying N 60P 60K 60 і N 90P 90K 90 the highest potential and biological productivity of Helios and Commandor was recorder as compared against the control. Impact of varying application rates for fertilizers onto the components of ear biological productivity has been scrutinized. The qualitative composition of ear is a clear expression of variety phenotype and identifies the level of biological yield for spring barley. Application of N 60 P 60 K 60 і N 90 P 90 K 90 mineral fertilizers fairly increased the average leaf surface, photosynthetic lead capacity of varieties in 2 to 2.5 times, as well as FAR efficiency coefficient in 1.5 to 2.0 times as against control that thus contributed to the development of highest biological yield of Helios variety phytomass at the level of 14.9 to 15.0, grain – 7.8 to 8.0 ton per ha and, respectively, 12.7 and 7.5 tons per ha for Comandor variety.

Yield of modern varieties of valuable fodder crop lucerne is quite low - 0.2 - 0.3 t / ha. The reason - lack of cross-pollination due to the lack of insect pollinators. Under these conditions, the highest seed production plants are prone to selfpollinate. The results of the study of 26 new selffertile samples of alfalfa own selection. It was shown that 15 samples for seed yield higher than standard - grade Jaroslavna. The herbage yield of only four samples was lower than in the standard. The dry matter content of all samples was high - 22,1-25,5 %. The results obtained are allowed to select in hotbed of pre-strain testing samples with high levels of self-fertility, seed yield 0,24-0,29 t/ha, herbage for three mowing - 63,2-67,7 t/ha, high dry matters content, which will be used in future breeding process
