Мета. Установити оптимальні ширину міжрядь та норму висіву насіння сорго зернового сортів ‘Дніпровський 39’ й ‘Вінець’, обґрунтувати їхній вплив на тривалість вегетаційного періоду й біометричні показники рослин в умовах Правобережного Лісостепу України. Методи. Польовий, лабораторний, математично-статистичний. Результати. Найінтенсивніший ріст і розвиток рослин сорго зернового відзначено за сівби насіння із шириною міжрядь 45 см та нормою висіву 200 тис. шт./га. Зокрема, тривалість вегетаційного періоду за таких умов була найменшою: 108 діб у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ та 106 діб у сорту ‘Вінець’. Водночас показники польової схожості насіння, висоти рослин та діаметра стебла були максимальними в досліді: ‘Дніпровський 39’ – 88,7%, 137,3 та 1,7 см, ‘Вінець’ – 86,9%, 121,8 та 1,6 см відповідно. Установлено, що зі збільшенням норми висіву насіння зменшуються показники продуктивної кущистості, площі листкової поверхні та маси однієї рослини. Найінтенсивніше рослини сорго зернового кущились за норми висіву насіння 150 та 200 тис. шт./га за всіх досліджуваних варіантів ширини міжрядь: у середньому до двох добре виповнених зерном волоті на одну рослину залежно від сортових особливостей. За норми 250 тис. шт./га кущіння рослин в обох сортів відбувалося дещо слабкіше – 1,0–1,1 волоті на рослину. Найбільшими показники площі листкової поверхні та маси однієї рослини були за ширини міжрядь 45 см: 1528–2320 см2 і 169,2–185,6 г у сорту ‘Дніпровський 39’ та 1476–2180 см2 і 143,1–162,3 г у сорту ‘Вінець’ залежно від густоти посіву. Зменшення ширини міжрядь до 15 см і збільшення до 70 см призводило до зниження основних параметрів росту й розвитку рослин. Висновки. Найліпше розвивалися рослини сорго зернового за сівби із шириною міжрядь 45 см та нормою висіву 200 тис. шт./га, які й рекомендуються для вирощування культури в умовах Правобережного Лісостепу України.

Purpose. The most intense tillering of sorghum plants was observed at a seeding rate of 150 and 200 thousand pieces/ha for all the studied variants of the row spacing: on average, up to two panicles well filled with grain per plant, depending on the varietal characte?ristics. At the rate of 250 thousand pieces/ha, tillering of plants in both varieties was somewhat weaker ? 1.0?1.1 panicles per plant. The largest indicators of leaf surface area and weight of one plant were with a row spacing of 45 cm: 1528?2320 cm2 and 169.2?185.6 g in the variety ?Dniprovskyi 39? and 1476?2180 cm2 and 143.1?162.3 g in the variety ?Vinets? depending on planting density. Методи. Для проведення досліджень з установленням основних структурних елементів багатовимірного сховища даних застосовано методи індукції, дедукції, аналізу та синтезу. У процесі проєктування сховища застосовано концепцію W. H. Inmon, адаптовану для сфери сільського господарства та аграрного бізнесу. Результати. Проаналізовано етапи кваліфікаційної експертизи сортів рослин та розглянуто методологічні підходи до створення багатовимірної моделі сховища даних. Висвітлено особливості застосування сховищ даних для збереження результатів кваліфікаційної експертизи сортів рослин на відмінність, однорідність та стабільність (ВОС) та придатність сорту до поширення (ПСП). Особливу увагу приділено реалізації взаємозв’язку результатів кваліфікаційної експертизи сортів рослин з даними метеорологічних спостережень на різних фенологічних етапах росту й розвитку рослин, відповідно до записів в електронному польовому журналі. Спроектовано даталогічну схему сховища даних та реалізовано її у середовищі MS SQL Server. Висновки. Визначено джерела надходження даних у сховища даних та реалізовано багатовимірну модель сховища даних за схемою «сніжинки». Purpose. To develop a multidimensional model of the data storage for the qualification examination of plant varieties for fixing meteorological conditions in conjunction with the phenological stages of development of varieties that undergo DUS and SVD expertise. Methods. To conduct research with the establishment of the main structural ele­ments of a multidimensional data warehouse, methods of induction, deduction, analysis and synthesis were used. In the design process of the storage facility, W. H. Inmon’s concept was applied, adapted for the agricultural and agricultural business. Results. The stages of qualification examination of plant varieties were analyzed and methodolo­gical approaches to the creation of a multidimensional data warehouse model were considered. The features of the use of data storages for storing the results of qualification exa­mination of plant varieties for distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS) and suitability of a variety for dissemination in Ukraine (SVD) were highlighted. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the interconnection between the results of the qualification examination of plant varie­ties with the data of meteorological observations at various phenological stages of plant growth and development, according to the records in the electronic field journal. The logical data model of the data warehouse was designed and implemented in the MS SQL Server environment. Conclusions. Sources of data entry into data warehouses were determined and a multidimensional data warehouse model was implemented according to the “snowflake” scheme. The diagram of the data warehouse was presented, which provided a link between the meteorological conditions of the field experiments and the initial data of the qualification examination, and had four tables of measurements. For each dimension table and fact table, an attribute composition of the data was defined. The data warehouse was practically used to analyze the influence of weather conditions on the indicators of DUS and SVD examinations. | Мета. Установити особливості формування та функціонування симбіотичних систем сої за інокуляції насіння біопрепаратами на основі стійких до фунгіцидів штамів Bradyrhizobium japonicum РС07 та В78 з різними нормами синтетичного барвника кармоїзину. Методи. Фізіологічні, мікробіологічні, газова хроматографія, статистичні. Результати. Установлено, що внаслідок інокуляції сої [Glycine max (L.) Merr] сорту ‘Алмаз’ мікробними препаратами, виготовленими на основі B. japonicum РС07 та В78 з додаванням кармоїзину (0,25 та 0,5 г на 200 г препарату), кількість та маса сформованих на коренях бульбочок упродовж вегетації були на рівні показників контрольних рослин або перевищували їх. За інокуляції насіння обома штамами ризобій та додавання до біопрепаратів різних норм барвника найбільшу різницю за показниками кількості й маси кореневих бульбочок між рослинами контрольних і дослідних варіантів відзначено у фазі повного цвітіння. У результаті аналізу азотфіксувальної активності (АФА) сформованих симбіотичних систем відзначено відсутність негативного впливу синтетичного барвника на її рівень. За бактеризації насіння сої B. japonicum РС07 у фазі трьох справжніх листків АФА була вищою на 15,6–25,9%; у фазі бутонізації–початку цвітіння – на 7,4–29,5% порівняно з контрольними рослинами за додавання 0,25 та 0,5 г кармоїзину відповідно. На фоні бактеризації насіння сої штамом В78 до фази повного цвітіння інтенсивність асиміляції N2 за додавання до біопрепарату 0,25 г кармоїзину була на рівні контрольних рослин. У період повного цвітіння рослин цей показник перевищував контроль на 7,6 та 18,8% за внесення 0,25 та 0,5 г барвника відповідно. Висновки. Кармоїзин можна залучати до подальшого вивчення ефективності його застосування як барвника-ідентифікатора контролю рівномірності нанесення сипучих бактеріальних препаратів на насіння, додаючи 0,25 і 0,5 г на 200 г біопрепарату, оскільки при цьому не виявлено негативного впливу на формування та функціонування симбіотичних систем соя – B. japonicum.

Purpose. Investigate the formation and functioning of symbiotic systems of soybeans with nodule bacteria by ino­culation of seeds with biological products based on fungicide-resistant strains of Bradyrhizobium japonicum PC07 and B78 with different rates of synthetic carmoisine colorant. Methods. Physiological, microbiological, gas chromatography, statistical. Results. It was found that as a result of inoculation of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr] variety ‘Almaz’ with microbial preparations based on B. japonicum PC07 and B78, with the addition of carmoisine (0.25 and 0.5 g per 200 g of the preparation), the amount and the weight of nodules formed on the roots during the growing season were at the level of the control plants or exceeded them. The greatest difference in indicators of quantity and weight of root nodules between plants of control and experimental variants is noted in a phase of full flowering at inoculation by both strains of rhizobia and addition to biological products of various norms of dye. Analysis of nitrogen-fixing activity (NFA) of the formed symbiotic systems showed the absence of a negative effect of the synthetic colorant on its level. When inoculated with soybean seeds B. japonicum PC07 in the phase of three true leaves, NFA was higher by 15.6–25.9% and in the budding-beginning of flowering stage by 7.4–29.5% compared with control plants with the addition of 0.25 and 0.5 g of carmoisine, respectively. Against the background of bacterization of soybean seeds by strain B78 before the phase of full flowering of plants the level of N2 assimilation by adding 0.25 g of carmoisine to the vermiculite preparation was at the level of the control plants. During the period of full flowering, this figure exceeded the indicators of control plants by 7.6 and 18.8% with the introduction of 0.25 and 0.5 g of the colorant. Conclusions. Carmoisine can be applied in the further study of the effectiveness of its use as a dye identifier for controlling the uniformity of marking of loose bacterial preparations on seeds by adding 0.25 and 0.5 g per 200 g of a biopreparation, since this did not show a negative impact on the formation and functioning of the soybean – Bradyrhizobium japonicum symbiotic systems. | Мета. Кармоїзин можна залучати до подальшого вивчення ефективності його застосування як барвника-ідентифікатора контролю рівномірності нанесення сипучих бактеріальних препаратів на насіння, додаючи 0,25 і 0,5 г на 200 г біопрепарату, оскільки при цьому не виявлено негативного впливу на формування та функціонування симбіотичних систем соя – B. japonicum.

Purpose. Investigate the formation and functioning of symbiotic systems of soybeans with nodule bacteria by ino?culation of seeds with biological products based on fungicide-resistant strains of Bradyrhizobium japonicum PC07 and B78 with different rates of synthetic carmoisine colorant.Methods. Physiological, microbiological, gas chromatography, statistical.Results. It was found that as a result of inoculation of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr] variety ?Almaz? with microbial preparations based on B. japonicum PC07 and B78, with the addition of carmoisine (0.25 and 0.5 g per 200 g of the preparation), the amount and the weight of nodules formed on the roots during the growing season were at the level of the control plants or exceeded them. The greatest difference in indicators of quantity and weight of root nodules between plants of control and experimental variants is noted in a phase of full flowering at inoculation by both strains of rhizobia and addition to biological products of various norms of dye. Analysis of nitrogen-fixing activity (NFA) of the formed symbiotic systems showed the absence of a negative effect of the synthetic colorant on its level. When inoculated with soybean seeds B. japonicum PC07 in the phase of three true leaves, NFA was higher by 15.6?25.9% and in the budding-beginning of flowering stage by 7.4?29.5% compared with control plants with the addition of 0.25 and 0.5 g of carmoisine, respectively. Against the background of bacterization of soybean seeds by strain B78 before the phase of full flowering of plants the level of N2 assimilation by adding 0.25?g of carmoisine to the vermiculite preparation was at the level of the control plants. During the period of full flowering, this figure exceeded the indicators of control plants by 7.6 and 18.8% with the introduction of 0.25 and 0.5?g of the colorant.Conclusions. Carmoisine can be applied in the further study of the effectiveness of its use as a dye identifier for controlling the uniformity of marking of loose bacterial preparations on seeds by adding 0.25 and 0.5 g per 200 g of a biopreparation, since this did not show a negative impact on the formation and functioning of the soybean ? У нашому дослідженні вивчали ріст, урожайність і склад деяких компонентів у рослинах джуту довгоплідного за умови присутності котячої м’яти справжньої і мексиканського соняшнику та в середовищі, вільному від бур’янів. Методи. Дослідження включало два скринінгових експерименти за повністю рендомізованою схемою в шести повтореннях. Схема досліду в експериментах була такою: 0 (контроль), 2, 4, 6, 8 і 10 бур’янів на ємність для вирощування. З урахуванням площі поверхні використаних ємностей, така кількість відповідала 0, 100, 200, 300, 400 і 500 бур’янам на 1 м2. Параметри росту джуту довгоплідного реєстрували щотижня з 5 до 8 тижня після сівби, а врожай збирали через 8 тижнів. Уміст деяких сполук у рослинах джуту оцінювали з використанням стандартних процедур, викладених Асоціацією офіційних сільськогосподарських хіміків. Отримані результати були оброблені із застосуванням методів дисперсійного аналізу (ANOVA). Результати. Котяча м’ята справжня й мексикан­ський соняшник за щільності від 100 рослин на квад­рат­ний метр набільш негативно впливали на морфологічні ха­рак­теристики джуту довгоплідного. Ці бур’яни, за щіль­нос­ті 100–500 рослин на квадратний метр, зумовлювали також зменшення сухої ваги джуту довгоплідного. За пев­них умов, мексиканський соняшник може також спри­чиняти зменшення вмісту сирого протеїну в джуті довгоплідному. Висновки. Для запобігання втрат урожаю рекомендується підтримувати чисельність рослин котячої м’яти справж­ньої та мексиканського соняшнику в посівах джуту дов­го­плідного меншою ніж 100 шт./м2.

Схема експерименту включала вирощування двох видів дерево­руйнівних грибів Pleurotus citrinopileatus Singer (штам 2161 ІВК) та Cyclocybe aegerita (V.Brig.) Vizzini (штам 2230 ІВК) на трьох варіантах субстратних композицій. Структура та склад субстратів впливають на технологічні характеристики культури, фізичні та хімічні властивості плодових тіл. Найкоротший цикл плодоношення у 35,2 ± 1,7 доби визначено для культури C. aegerita за умов вирощування на субстраті СК1 з формулою «солома / лушпиння / гранули / ріпак / кукурудза / крейда» у співвідношенні 30 : 40 : 70 : 20 : 20 : 1. Найвищу врожайність (170,5 ± 15,2 г на 1 кг субстрату) у досліді визначено для P. citrinopileatus на субстраті СК2 з формулою «солома / гранули / ріпак / кукурудза / крейда» у співвідношенні 40 : 90 : 20 : 25 : 1. Склад субстратних композицій суттєво впливає на біологічну ефективність культиварів та вміст нутрієнтів у плодових тілах досліджених видів. Отримані результати дають змогу грибівникам спрогнозувати ефективність виробництва та якість отриманих грибів відповідно до використання доступної сировини.

Purpose. To reveal the influence of the substrate compositions on technical indicators and the chemical composition of the fruiting bodies of the golden oyster mushroom and poplar mushroom. Methods. The experimental design included cultivation of two species of wood-decay fungi Pleurotus citrinopileatus Singer (strain 2161 IVK) and Cyclocybe aegerita (V.Brig.) Vizzini (strain 2230 IVK) on three variants of substrate composition. Laboratory, laboratory-production methods for evaluating the effectiveness of growing technology, chemical composition of the obtained raw materials, statistical methods of analysis were applied. Results. The structure and composition of substrates affect the technological characteristics of the culture, physical and chemical properties of fruiting bodies. The shortest fruiting cycle of 35.2 ± 1.7 days was determined for C. aegerita under growing conditions on SC1 substrate which formula included «straw, husks, pellet, rapeseed, corn, and CaCO3» in the ratio of 30: 40: 70: 20: 20: 1. The highest yield (170.5 ± 15.2 g per 1 kg of substrate) in the experiment was determined for P. citrinopileatus on the SC1 substrate composed of «straw / pellets  / rapeseed / corn / CaCO3» in the ratio 40: 90: 20: 25: 1. Fruiting bodies of P. citrinopileatus obtained from the SC3 substrate composed of  «pellets / rapeseed / corn / CaCO3» in the ratio 60: 110: 20: 30: 1 had the highest protein content – 22.47 ± 0.19%, and fruiting bodies from the SC1 substrate had the least amount of proteins – 17.38 ± 2.60%. Fruiting bodies of C. aegerita contained more lipids than those of P. citrinopileatus, but the factor of the influence of the substrate composition on the total amount of lipids for some cultivars was insignificant. The largest amount of endopolysaccharides was isolated from the fruiting bodies of C. aegerita (6.81 ± 0.41%) cultivated on SC3 substrate, and the smallest in the SC1 variant (1.38 ± 0.25%). The content of endopolysaccharides in the fruiting bodies of P. citrinopileatus had less variability from 2.54 ± 0.54 (SC3) to 4.72 ± 0.61% (SC1). Conclusion. Substrate compositions significantly affect the biological efficiency of cultivars and the content of nutrients in fruiting bodies of the studied species. The obtained results enable producers of mushrooms to predict the production efficiency and quality of grown mushrooms in accordance with the use of available raw materials. | Мета. Теплоємність сировини рослин G. orientalis становила 4051–4275 ккал/га. Загальний вихід енергії із надземної маси сягав 30,44–67,85 Гкал/га. Висновки. Рослини видів роду Galega з високим потенціалом біомаси здатні забезпечувати сировиною для виробництва біогазу. Найкраще серед досліджених шести сортів власної селекції зарекомендували себе ‘Фламінго’, ‘НБС-75’, ‘Рябчик’.

To establish the features of the formation of productivity elements of plant of the genus Galega species, depending on the genotypic characteristics and conditions of vegetation during the introduction in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. In 2004–2020 in labo­ratory and field conditions, six plant varieties of the genus Galega of the M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden selection were studied. The following methods were used: general scientific, biological and morphological, laboratory, field and statistical. Morphometric parameters such as plant height, number of shoots, leaves, inflorescences per plant, fruit size, length of the root system, as well as productive potential, nitrogen-fixing ability of plants, mass of productive shoots, heat capacity, yield of aboveground mass, yield of dry matter per unit area were assessed. Results. It was found that the genotypes of G. orientalis Lam. (‘Kavkazkyi Branets’, ‘Saliut’, ‘NBS-75’, ‘Riabchyk’) and G. officinalis L. (‘Harant’, ‘Flaminho’), when introduced in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, are characterized by high productivity of aboveground phytomass (from 28.6 to 62.4 t/ha), as well as by the yield of dry matter (from 7.12 to 16.5 t/ha). In the structure of the aboveground mass of genotypes, stems accounted for 37.0–44.2%, leaves – 40.9–51.4%, inflorescences – 11.6–14.9%. The heat capacity of the raw material of G. orientalis plants was 4051–4275 kcal/ha. The total energy output reached 30.44–67.85 Gcal/ha. Conclusions. It was revealed that plants of species of the genus Galega have a high bioproductive potential, and are able to provide raw materials for biogas production. The best of the six studied genotypes were ‘Flamingo’, ‘NBS-75’, and ‘Riab­chyk’. | Мета. To reveal the peculiarities of the seasonal rhythm of growth and development of Itoh Group peony cultivars in the conditions of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Methods. The objects of research were plants of 24 cultivars of Itoh Group peonies. The research was conducted on the experimental field of the Department of Flowering and Ornamental Plants of the M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine during 2017–2020. The sum of effective temperatures was calculated by summing the daily air temperatures reduced by the biological zero.                 Results. The phenological phases of Ito Group cultivars growth were determined. Phenological spectra for different groups are presented. It was determined that the flowering of early cultivars: ‘First Arrival’, ‘Hillary’, ‘Julia Rose’, ‘Morning Lilac’, ‘Old Rose Dandy’, ‘Sonoma Apricot’ starts at the sum of effective temperatures ≥ 400 °С. The middle group hybrids bloom when the sum of temperatures reaches 450 °С. This group includes: ‘Bartzella’, ‘Callie’s Memory’, ‘Cora Louise’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Scarlet Heaven’, ‘Sonoma Velvet Ruby’, ‘Yellow Dream’, ‘Yellow Emperor’, ‘Yellow Heaven’, ‘Yellow Waterlily’. Late flowering group includes: ‘Border Charm’, ‘Garden Treasure’, ‘Kopper Kettle’, ‘Pastel Splendor’, ‘Prairie Charm’, ‘Viking Full Moon’, ‘White Emperor’, ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’; accumulation of effective temperatures above 500 °С is an essential requirement for their flowering. Conclusions. Itoh Group cultivars successfully pass all phases of seasonal development and manage to complete the growing season. Cultivars belong to the spring-summer-autumn-green phenorhythmotype. The onset of the corresponding phenological phases in peonies of the studied group of cultivars requires a certain sum of effective temperatures. Plant outgrowth begins on March 23 – April 2, when the sum of effective temperatures ranges from 20–40 °С. The flowering of varieties characterized as late spring, lasts 6–9 days ± 3–4 days, depending on the varietal characteristics and the year of cultivation. A rapid increase in the sum of effective temperatures up to 700 °C shortens the flowering phase by 4–5 days. An assortment of early (May 22–25 ± 2–3 days), medium (May 26–28 ± 3–5 days) and late-flowering (May 29–31 ± 4–6 days) cultivars has been selected, what ensures the continuity of peony flowering during two months.

Об’єктом досліджень слугували рослини 24 сортів півоній Itoh Gp. Дослідження проводили на експериментальній ділянці відділу квітниково-декоративних рослин НБС протягом 2017–2020 рр. Суму ефективних температур обраховували через сумування добових температур повітря, зменшених на значення біологічного мінімуму. Результати. Виділено фенологічні фази росту й розвитку рослин півоній Іто-групи. Побудовано фенологічні спектри для різних феногруп. Установлено, що цвітіння ранніх сортів – ‘First Arrival’, ‘Hillary’, ‘Julia Rose’, ‘Morning Lilac’, ‘Old Rose Dandy’, ‘Sonoma Apricot’ – розпочинається за суми ефективних температур ≥ 400 °С. Сорти рослин середньої групи зацвітають, коли сума температур сягає 450 °С. До цієї групи належать ‘Bartzella’, ‘Callie’s Memory’, ‘Cora Louise’, ‘Lollipop’, ‘Scarlet Heaven’, ‘Sonoma Velvet Ruby’, ‘Yellow Dream’, ‘Yellow Emperor’, ‘Yellow Heaven’, ‘Yellow Waterlily’. Пізньоквітуюча група включає сорти ‘Border Charm’, ‘Garden Treasure’, ‘Kopper Kettle’, ‘Pastel Splendor’, ‘Prairie Charm’, ‘Viking Full Moon’, ‘White Emperor’, ‘Yankee Doodle Dandy’, необхідною умовою цвітіння яких є накопичення ефективних температур понад 500 °С. Висновки. Рослини сортів півоній Itoh Gp успішно проходять усі фази сезонного розвитку та встигають завершити вегетацію. За тривалістю вегетації вони належать до весняно-літньо-осінньозеленого феноритмотипу. Настання відповідних фенологічних фаз у півоній досліджуваної групи сортів потребує певної суми ефективних температур. Відростання сортів розпочинається 23 березня – 2 квітня, коли сума ефективних температур змінюється в межах 20–40 °С. Цвітіння сортів характеризується як пізньовесняне, триває 9–16 діб ± 3–4 доби й залежить від сортових особливостей рослин та року вирощування. Швидке наростання суми ефективних температур до 700 °C під час цвітіння рослин скорочує його тривалість на 4–5 діб. Аналіз фенологічних спектрів сезонного розвитку рослин дав змогу виділити сортимент ранньо‑ (22–25 травня ± 2–3 доби), середньо‑ (26–28 травня ± 3–5 діб) та пізньоквітуючих (29–31 травня ± 4–6 діб) півоній Itoh Gp, що забезпечує безперервність їхнього цвітіння загалом упродовж двох місяців.

Мета. Виділити перспективні селекційні лінії ячменю ярого за комплексом адаптивних ознак в умовах центральної частини Лісостепу України. Методи. Польові випробування, лабораторно-польові дослідження посухостійкості, статис­тичний та графічний аналіз експериментальних даних. Результати. Дисперсійним аналізом AMMI моделі встановлено, що найбільший унесок у загальну варіацію (85,78%) мали умови середовища (років досліджень). Значення генотипу становило 8,21%, а взаємодії генотип–середовище – 6,01%. Перші дві головні компоненти як AMMI, так і GGE biplot, охоплювали понад 85% взаємодії генотип–середовище. Краще поєднання врожайності та відносної стабільності за роками відповідно до GGE biplot мали селекційні лінії ячменю ярого ‘Дефіцієнс 5162’, ‘Нутанс 5073’ і ‘Дефіцієнс 5161’. GYT biplot аналізом визначено, що селекційні лінії ‘Дефіцієнс 5162’ і ‘Нутанс 5073’ також суттєво переважали решту генотипів за поєднанням урожайності та низки інших ознак – маси 1000 зерен, посухостійкості, стійкості проти збудників хвороб. Селекційні лінії ‘Дефіцієнс 5161’, ‘Нутанс 4966’, ‘Нутанс 4705’, ‘Нутанс 4816’, ‘Нутанс 5184’, ‘Нутанс 5193’, які перевищували середнє значення в досліді за поєднанням врожайності та низки адаптивних ознак, можуть мати практичну цінність у селекційному процесі для створення нового вихідного матеріалу. Висновки. У результаті комплексного оцінювання з використанням графічних моделей AMMI, GGE biplot та GYT biplot виділено селекційні лінії ячменю ярого ‘Дефіцієнс 5162’ і ‘Нутанс 5073’ з оптимальним поєднанням урожайності, стабільності, маси 1000 зерен та стійкості до біо- та абіотичних чинників.

Purpose. Identification of spring barley promising breeding lines with combination of adaptive traits under conditions of the central part of the Ukrainian Forest-Steppe. Methods. Field trial, laboratory-field analysis of drought tolerance, statistical and graphical analysis of experimental data. Results. The analysis of variance of the AMMI model showed that the largest contribution to the general variation (85.78%) had environmental conditions (years of research). The value of the genotype was 8.21%, and the genotype by environment interaction was 6.01%. The first and second principal components of both AMMI and GGE biplot explained more than 85% of the genotype-environment interaction. Spring barley breeding lines ‘Deficiens 5162’, ‘Nutans 5073’ and ‘Deficiens 5161’ had the superior combination of yield performance and relative stability through the years according to GGE biplot. With GYT biplot analysis it has been determined that the breeding lines ‘Deficiens 5162’ and ‘Nutans 5073’ also significantly predominated over the other genotypes in terms of combination of yield performance and a number of other traits – 1000 kernels weight, drought tolerance, resistance to pathogens. Breeding lines ‘Deficiens 5161’, ‘Nutans 4966’, ‘Nutans 4705’, ‘Nutans 4816’, ‘Nutans 5184’, ‘Nutans 5193’, which exceeded the mean value in the trial in terms of combination of yield performance and a number of adaptive traits may have practical significance in the breeding process for creation of new initial material. Conclusions. As a result of the complex evaluation when using AMMI, GGE biplot and GYT biplot graphical models the breeding lines ‘Deficiens 5162’ and ‘Nutans 5073’ with the optimal combination of yield, stability, thousand kernel weight and tolerance to abiotic and biotic environmental factors have been identified | Мета. Селекційні лінії ‘Дефіцієнс 5161’, ‘Нутанс 4966’, ‘Нутанс 4705’, ‘Нутанс 4816’, ‘Нутанс 5184’, ‘Нутанс 5193’, які перевищували середнє значення в досліді за поєднанням врожайності та низки адаптивних ознак, можуть мати практичну цінність у селекційному процесі для створення нового вихідного матеріалу. Висновки. У результаті комплексного оцінювання з використанням графічних моделей AMMI, GGE biplot та GYT biplot виділено селекційні лінії ячменю ярого ‘Дефіцієнс 5162’ і ‘Нутанс 5073’ з оптимальним поєднанням урожайності, стабільності, маси 1000 зерен та стійкості до біо- та абіотичних чинників.

Мета. Оцінити екологічну пластичність урожайності проса посівного в умовах Степу, Лісостепу та Полісся України. Методи. Математико-статистичні: визначення стабільності та пластичності за методикою Ебергарда–Рассела, кореляційний аналіз. Результати. За результатами кореляційного аналізу посівних площ проса посівного за період 2011–2020 рр. визначено, що площі під посівами проса посівного в Україні залежать від світових (r = 0,34). Визначено, що високий рівень урожайності проса посівного отримано в зоні Лісостепу, а саме в Полтавській, Хмельницькій, Черкаській, Сумській та Харківській областях (2,20–2,51 т/га). Достатньо високі показники отримано у Вінницькій, Київській (зона Лісостепу) та Кіровоградській (зона Степу) областях (1,86–2,02 т/га). Низьку врожайність за 10 років відзначено у Рівненській, Житомирській та Волинській областях, які належать до зони Полісся (1,09–1,34 т/га). Показано, що протягом 2011–2015 рр. висока варіабельність урожайності проса спостерігалася в Хмельницькій, Вінницькій та Волинській областях. Коефіцієнт варіації становив 42,0–71,3%. У 2016–2020 рр. найбільшу варіацію відзначено в Донецькій, Волинській та Одеській областях. Коефіцієнт варіації – 31,8–43,9%. Визначено, що за період 2011–2015 рр. високою пластичністю врожайності проса посівного характеризуються Вінницька, Донецька, Київська, Кіровоградська, Сумська, Харківська, Хмельницька, Черкаська та Полтавська області. У проміжок із 2016 до 2020 рр. високу пластичність ознаки врожайності відзначено у Вінницькій, Київській, Харківській, Полтавській, Черкаській, Сумській та Хмельницькій областях. Висновки. За результатами проведених досліджень установлено, що під час скорочення посівних площ під просом посівним у світі, обсяг його виробництва в Україні збільшується. Визначено, що найбільша врожайність просо посівного за досліджувані роки отримана в зоні Лісостепу. Відповідно до розрахованої пластичності врожайності проса посівного визначено, що для реалізації біологічного потенціалу сприятливі умови були в Донецькій та Кіровоградській областях зони Степу, у лісостеповій зоні – Полтавська, Київська, Харківська, Хмельницька, Черкаська та Сумська області.

BACKGROUND: Developing drought-tolerant crops critically depends on the efficient response of a genotype to the limited water availability, a trait known as phenological plasticity. Our understanding of the phenological plasticity remains limited, in particular, about its relationships with plant developmental program. Here, we examined the plastic response of spring wheat at tillering, booting, heading, and anthesis stages to constant or periodic drought stress. The response was assessed by morphological and physiological parameters including symptoms. RESULTS: The dynamics of morphological symptoms were indicators of the plasticity identification of drought. We found that spring wheat exhibits higher phenological plasticity during tillering stage followed by the heading stage, while booting and anthesis stages are the most sensitive. Also, the adaptive response is thought to be influenced with the plant height genes. Furthermore, periodic stress caused more pronounced inhibition of yield than the constant stress, with limited resistance resolution under long period. CONCLUSIONS: Our study shows the importance of considering the phenological plasticity in designing screens for drought tolerance in spring wheat and proposes tillering as the most informative stage for capturing genotypes with tolerance to limit water availability.

Purpose. To identify spring durum wheat accessions with high yield level and by yield components for their involvement in breeding programs as a source material. Methods. Field, statistical. Results. The results of the study of 65 collection samples of spring durum wheat of various ecological and geographical origin in terms of productivity in 2016–2018 are presented. The research results indicate that the samples of spring durum wheat had different yield level depending on the conditions of the year of cultivation. According to the calculations of the degree of yield stability parameters, the samples were found that ensure its level under fluctuations in weather conditions with regression coefficient close to one as follows ‘Omskiy izumrud’ (RUS), ‘Korona’, ‘Toma’, ‘Nauryz 6’ (KAZ), ‘Dura king’, ‘Candura’ (CAN), ‘Tera’, ‘Novatsiia’ (UKR), thus indicating their semi-intensive type. Collection samples of spring durum wheat that under optimal weather conditions are capable of producing significant yield increase are distinguished by wide ecological reaction. These are samples with regression coefficient more than one ‘MIP Raiduzhna’, ‘Hordeiforme 13-07’ (UKR), ‘Lan’, ‘Salaut’, ‘Ertol’ (KAZ), ‘Bezenchukskaya 205’, ‘Lilek’ (RUS). These samples can be characterized by their adaptive properties as intense ones, with a pronounced response to the environment. Over the years of the research, grain number per spike varied from 35.9 to 38.8 pcs. Year conditions in 2016 were the most favorable for plant growth and development, while index of conditions was 4.1, and the average grain number per spike was 41.4 pcs. Year conditions in 2017 and 2018 were less favorable for growth and development of durum spring wheat, and therefore there was a negative value of index of year conditions (lj = -5.1 and lj = 0.5, respectively) with less grain number per spike (32.2 and 38.2 pcs., respectively). According to the trait «1000 kernel weight», the samples were identified with regression coefficient close to one under fluctuations of weather conditions, i.e ‘Korona’, ‘Raya’ (KAZ), ‘Lilek’, ‘Bezenchukskaya 205’ (RUS), ‘MIP Raiduzhna’ (UKR). The grain weight per spike in the collection samples varied from 1.27 to 1.77 g. The stable samples ‘Ertol’, ‘Salaut’, ‘Damsinskaya yantarnaya’ (KAZ), ‘Lilek’ (RUS), ‘Novatsiia’ (UKR), ‘Duraking’, ‘Candura’ (CAN) promising in spring wheat breeding were identified and can be involved in hybridization. Conclusions. Stable and plastic samples were identified among collection material of spring durum wheat in terms of productivity for involvement in scientific programs as source material.

This study aimed to evaluate the performance and stability of agronomic and grain quality traits of 11 spring barley varieties from the Latvian breeding programme grown in two locations for four years. The study was carried out on 11 Latvian spring barley varieties: nine covered varieties ‘Abava’, ‘Ansis’, ‘Austris’, ‘Didzis’, ‘Gāte’, ‘Idumeja’, ‘Jumara’, ‘Kristaps’, and ‘Saule PR’ and two hull-less varieties ‘Irbe’ and ‘Kornelija’. Plants of the varieties were grown in field trials of the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics, at two sites (Priekuļi and Stende) during 2014–2017. Varieties ‘Didzis’, ‘Jumara’, and ‘Ansis’ yielded significantly above the grand mean in eight environments (5.70 t•haE−1; LSD = 0.476 t•haE−1). ‘Didzis’ showed relatively high dynamic yield stability and broad adaptability to all environments (bi = 0.90; b = 1; s2d = 0.07). Grain yield for varieties ‘Jumara’ and ‘Ansis’ showed specific adaptability to unfavourable environments (bi = 0.48 and 0.55, respectively; bi is less than 1). Some covered spring barley varieties were considered to be the best in eight environments with stable and high 1000 grain weight (‘Austris’, ‘Idumeja’), test weight (‘Gāte’, ‘Jumara’, ‘Austris’), lodging resistance (‘Austris’, ‘Jumara’, ‘Didzis’), resistance to Pyrenophora teres (‘Didzis’, ‘Saule PR’) and Blumeria graminis (‘Saule PR’, ‘Didzis’). Both hull-less barley varieties ‘Irbe’ and ‘Kornelija’ were distinguished for high crude protein and ß-glucan content.

The model, Yᵢⱼ = μ₁ + β₁Iⱼ + δᵢⱼ, defines stability parameters that may be used to describe the performance of a variety over a series of environments. Yᵢⱼ is the variety mean of the iᵗʰ variety at the jₜₕ environment, µ₁ is the iᵗʰ variety mean over all environments, β₁ is the regression coefficient that measures the response of the iᵗʰ variety to varying environments, δᵢⱼ is the deviation from regression of the iᵗʰ variety at the jᵗʰ environment, and Iⱼ is the environmental index. The data from two single-cross diallels and a set of 3-way crosses were examined to see whether genetic differences could be detected. Genetic differences among lines were indicated for the regression of the lines on the environmental index with no evidence of nonadditive gene action. The estimates of the squared deviations from regression for many hybrids were near zero, whereas extremely large estimates were obtained for other hybrids.

Мета. Порівняльна оцінка за врожайністю та адаптивністю сортів ячменю ярого Миронівського інституту пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН різних років реєстрації. Методи. Дослідження проведені в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН у 2013–2017 рр. відповідно до загальноприйнятих методик. Об’єкт досліджень – 19 сортів ячменю ярого миронівської селекції зареєстрованих в Україні за період 1995–2017 рр. Для характеристики взаємодії генотип–середовище та диференціації сортів за врожайністю і стабільністю використали низку найбільш поширених підходів: S. A. Eberhart, W. A. Russel (1966); G. Wricke (1962); C. S. Lin, M. R. Binns (1988); M. Huehn (1990); А. В. Кильчевский, Л. В. Хотылёва (1985); В. В. Хангильдин, Н. А. Литвиненко (1981); J. L. Purchase та ін. (2000); AMMI; GGE biplot. Результати. Частка умов року досліджень у загальній варіації становила 83,40%. Достовірні, але суттєво нижчі значення мали генотип – 10,65% та взаємодія генотип–середовище – 5,95%. Перші дві головні компоненти GGE biplot пояснювали дещо більшу частку взаємодії генотип–середовище (85,58%) порівняно з AMMI моделлю (80,9%). Кореляційний аналіз виявив, що середня врожайність (Mean) мала вищесередній зв’язок як з максимальним (Max) (r = 0,69), так і мінімальним (Mіn) (r = 0,72) її значеннями. Сильну позитивну кореляцію Mean виявлено з парамет­рами: СЦГі (r = 0,88), Hom (r = 0,86), Sc (r = 0,82). Дуже сильний негативний зв’язок Mean відзначено з Pi (r = -0,96). Для Max середній негативний зв’язок спостерігали лише з Pi (r = -0,60). Mіn сильно корелювала з Sc (r = 0,96), СЦГі (r = 0,87), Hom (r = 0,84). Негативну сильну кореляцію відзначено Min з Sgi (r = -0,86). Між деякими показниками виявлено зв’язок від функціонального позитивного: δ2CAЗi і Кgi (r = 1,00), Wi і Lgi (r = 0,98), СЦГі і Hom (r = 0,98), СЦГі і Sc (r = 0,96), S2di і Wi (r = 0,96), Wi і ASV (r = 0,94), Sc і Hom (r = 0,94), δ2CAЗi і bi (r = 0,93), S2di і ASV (r = 0,93) до сильного негативного: Sgi іСЦГі (r = -0,94), Sgi і Sc(r = -0,92), Sgi і Hom (r = -0,91), Pi і СЦГі (r = -0,83), Pi і Sc (r = -0,80), Pi і Hom (r = -0,79). Висновки. Системна порівняльна оцінка статистичними і графічними підходами свідчить, що внесені до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні у 2016–2017 рр. сорти ячменю ярого ‘Віраж’, ‘Талісман Миронівський’, ‘МІП Мирний’, ‘МІП Салют’, ‘МІП Сотник’, ‘МІП Азарт’, ‘МІП Богун’ переважають створені на попередніх етапах селекційної роботи сорти як за продуктивним, так і адаптивним потенціалом.

The article gives analysis of practical value of soybean varieties according to productivity and ecological plasticity in different climatic provinces of Ukraine. Ecological estimation of soybean varieties by the methodology of Eberhart and Rassel has been made. This estimation helped to determine variety plasticity and potential to adaptability. It has been established that varieties Almaz and Diona were the best according to the results of ecological research of varieties. The most favourable regions for cultivation of up-to-date soybean varieties have been chosen. Variety Almaz has been defined as the most intensive and plastic soybean variety (average yield during research years was 2.66–2.93 t/hа). Varieties Antratsit and Ametist also have shown high plasticity. The article gives rank estimation of practical value of soybean varieties on the basis of grain productivity.It has been established that all examined varieties had high economic value – coefficient of agronomic stability is higher than 70%.Variety Almaz has the greatest selective value according to homeostatic character. Almaz is the most intensive variety with maximal plasticity grown in Poltava region.Varieties with high indices of adaptability and plasticity which are very valuable for selection and practical use have been singled out.

Both hull-less barley varieties ‘Irbe’ and ‘Kornelija’ were distinguished for high crude protein and ß-glucan content.

The inconsistent prevalence of abiotic stress in most of the agroecosystems can be addressed through deployment of plant material with stress adaptive plasticity. The present study explores water stress induced plasticity for early root-shoot development, proline induction and cell membrane injury in 57 accessions of Aegilops tauschii (DD-genome) and 26 accessions of Triticum dicoccoides (AABB-genome) along with durum and bread wheat cultivars. Thirty three Ae. tauschii accessions and 18 T. dicoccoides accessions showed an increase in root dry weight (ranging from 1.8 to 294.75%) under water stress. Shoot parameters- length and biomass, by and large were suppressed by water stress, but genotypes with stress adaptive plasticity leading to improvement of shoot traits (e.g., Ae tauschii accession 14191 and T. dicoccoides accession 7130) could be identified. Water stress induced active responses, rather than passive repartitioning of biomass was indicated by better shoot growth in seedlings of genotypes with enhanced root growth under stress. Membrane injury seemed to work as a trigger to activate water stress adaptive cellular machinery and was found positively correlated with several root-shoot based adaptive responses in seedlings. Stress induced proline accumulation in leaf tissue showed marked inter- and intra-specific genetic variation but hardly any association with stress adaptive plasticity. Genotypic variation for early stage plasticity traits viz., change in root dry weight, shoot length, shoot fresh weight, shoot dry weight and membrane injury positively correlated with grain weight based stress tolerance index (r = 0.267, r = 0.404, r = 0.299, r = 0.526, and r = 0.359, respectively). In another such trend, adaptive seedling plasticity correlated positively with resistance to early flowering under stress (r = 0.372 with membrane injury, r = 0.286 with change in root length, r = 0.352 with change in shoot length, r = 0.268 with change in shoot dry weight). Overall, Ae. tauschii accessions 9816, 14109, 14128, and T. dicoccoides accessions 5259 and 7130 were identified as potential donors of stress adaptive plasticity. The prospect of the study for molecular marker tagging, cloning of plasticity genes and creation of elite synthetic hexaploid donors is discussed.

Untangling the genetic architecture of grain yield (GY) and yield stability is an important determining factor to optimize genomics-assisted selection strategies in wheat. We conducted in-depth investigation on the above using a large set of advanced bread wheat lines (4,302), which were genotyped with genotyping-by-sequencing markers and phenotyped under contrasting (irrigated and stress) environments. Haplotypes-based genome-wide-association study (GWAS) identified 58 associations with GY and 15 with superiority index Pi (measure of stability). Sixteen associations with GY were “environment-specific” with two on chromosomes 3B and 6B with the large effects and 8 associations were consistent across environments and trials. For Pi, 8 associations were from chromosomes 4B and 7B, indicating ‘hot spot’ regions for stability. Epistatic interactions contributed to an additional 5–9% variation on average. We further explored whether integrating consistent and robust associations identified in GWAS as fixed effects in prediction models improves prediction accuracy. For GY, the model accounting for the haplotype-based GWAS loci as fixed effects led to up to 9–10% increase in prediction accuracy, whereas for Pi this approach did not provide any advantage. This is the first report of integrating genetic architecture of GY and yield stability into prediction models in wheat.

Мета. Дослідити накопичення катехінів, антоціанів, лейкоантоціанів та аскорбінової кислоти в рослинах видів роду Arctium, інтродукованих у Національному ботанічному саду імені М. М. Гришка. Методи. Об’єктом досліджень слугували інтродуковані рослини роду Arctium, а саме: A. lappa L. (лопух справжній), A. tomentosum Mill. (лопух повстистий), A. nemorosum Lej. (лопух дібровний) та A. minus Bernh (лопух малий). Фітохімічні аналізи дослідних зразків органів рослин проводили у різних фазах онтогенезу. Вільні катехіни, антоціани та лейкоантоціани визначали фотоколориметричним методом. Результати. Встановлено, що рослини другого року вегетації накопичують більше катехінів ніж однорічні. Максимальна їх кількість – у листкових пластинках A. lappa та A. minus у фазі бутонізації (180,0 ± 0,3 та 144,0 ± 0,1 мг% відповідно). Вміст лейкоантоціанів у листкових пластинках однорічних рослин варіював від 72,0 ± 0,4 (A. lappa) до 660,0 ± 0,6 мг% (A. minus); дворічних – від 18,0 ± 0,6 (A. nemorosum) до 165,0 ± 0,5 мг% (A. lappa). Найбільше цих сполук виявлено в листковій пластинці A.minus першого року вегетації. Кількість антоціанів у листкових пластинках однорічних рослин змінювалася від 9,0 ± 0,1 (A. nemorosum) до 42,0 ± 0,4 мг% (A. minus), у черешках – від 9,8 ± 0,06 (A. tomentosum) до 117,0 ± 0,6 мг% (A. minus). На другий рік вегетації їх накопичення становило від 12,0 ± 0,3 (A. minus) до 42,0 ± 0,6 мг% (A. tomentosum) у листкових пластинках та від 9,6 ± 0,1 (A. tomentosum) до 48,0 ± 0,1 мг% (A. nemorosum) у черешках. Найбільше антоціанів виявлено в черешках A. minus першого року вегетації. Висновки. За результатами фітохімічних досліджень встановлено, що рослини видів роду Arctium, інтродуковані в Національному ботанічному саду імені М. М. Гришка, протягом вегетації накопичують різну кількість фенольних сполук. Виявлено залежність між часткою флавоноїдів у листках та температурою повітря. Збільшення вмісту антоціанів відбувається за зниження температури, а катехінів, навпаки, – за її підвищення. Максимальна кількість аскорбінової кислоти накопичується в листкових пластинках однорічних рослин видів роду Arctium.

Purpose. To analyze lines of competitive testing of soft spring wheat in terms of ecological plasticity and stability using statistical methods of analysis and identify lines with high stability of grain yield.Methods. The studies were carried out during 2018–2020, on the basis of the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat NAAS of Ukraine. When considering the results obtained, generally accepted methods of genetic and statistical analysis were used.Results. Evaluation of breeding material in different years makes it possible to obtain information about the characteristics of the reaction of genotypes to changes in environmental conditions. As a result of the studies, it was found that the lines Lutescens 14-32 (bi = 0.59), Erythrospermum 15-32 (bi = 0.44), Lutescens 14-47 (bi = 0.22) were of high plasticity. Calculations of ecological stability indicate that lines are considered stable, the variance of stability is zero or close to zero. From a practical point of view, lines with a combined manifestation of high ecological plasticity and stability are considered valuable. This was the line Erythro­spermum 15-32 (bi = 0.44; S2di = 0.01) that indicates its low reaction rate and the ability to provide a consistently high level of yield under any growing conditions. The most valuable are the genotypes that combine a low level of the coefficient of variation, high homeostaticity and bree­ding value, which include the lines Erythrospermum 15-32 (Hom = 206.42, Sc = 4.11), Lutescens 14-47 (Hom = 98.41, Sc = 3.91), Erythrospermum 17-08 (Hom = 78.57, Sc = 3.76), Erythrospermum 14-65 (Hom = 54.84, Sc = 3.75), Lutescens 14-32 (Hom = 54.60, Sc = 4.17), Lutescens 14-13 (Hom = 35.60, Sc = 3.78), Lutescens 14-48 (Hom = 46.66, Sc = 3.58).Conclusions. The evaluation of breeding material is of great importance when creating new high-performance varieties with adaptive potential. The method for assessing ecological plasticity and variants of its stability made it possible to differentiate wheat lines of soft spring competitive testing by their response to changes in gro­wing conditions. For a more optimal selection of breeding material in terms of ecological plasticity and stability, breeding programs should take into account ranked estimates of genotypes. | Мета. Використовуючи статистичні методи, проаналізувати за показниками екологічної пластичності та стабільності лінії конкурсного випробування пшениці м’якої ярої і виявити серед них такі, що вирізняються високою стабільністю врожайності зерна.Методи. Дослідження проводили протягом 2018–2020 рр. на базі Миронівського інституту пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН. У процесі оброблення отриманих результатів послуговувалися загально­прийнятими методами генетико-статистичного аналізу.Результати. Оцінка селекційного матеріалу в різні роки дає змогу отримати інформацію щодо особливостей реакції генотипів на зміну екологічних умов. У результаті проведених досліджень встановлено, що високопластичними є лінії Lutescens 14-32 (bi = 0,59), Erythrospermum 15-32  (bi = 0,44) і Lutescens 14-47 (bi = 0,22). За розрахунками, екологічно стабільними вважають лінії, варіанса стабільності яких дорівнює нулю (S2di = 0,00) або близька до нуля (S2di = 0,01). З погляду практичності цінними є лінії із сукупним проявом високої екологічної пластичності та стабільності, а саме: Erythrospermum 15-32 (bi = 0,44; S2di = 0,01), що має низьку норму реакції та може забезпечувати незмінно високий рівень врожайності за будь-яких умов вирощування. Найціннішими є генотипи, що поєднують у собі низький рівень коефіцієнта варіації (CV ≤ 10,0%), високу гомеостатичність і селекційну цінність. Серед них – лінії Erythrospermum 15-32 (Hom = 206,42, Sc = 4,11), Lutescens 14-47 (Hom = 98,41, Sc = 3,91), Erythrospermum 17-08 (Hom = 78,57, Sc = 3,76), Erythrospermum 14-65 (Hom = 54,84, Sc = 3,75), Lutescens 14-32 (Hom = 54,60, Sc = 4,17), Lutescens 14-13 (Hom = 35,60, Sc = 3,78) і Lutescens 14-48 (Hom = 46,66, Sc = 3,58).Висновки. Оцінка селекційного матеріалу має важливе значення для створення нових високопродуктивних сортів з адаптивним потенціалом. Метод оцінки екологічної пластичності та варіанси її стабільності дав змогу диференціювати лінії пшениці м’якої ярої конкурсного випробування за реакцією на зміну умов вирощування. Для оптимальнішого відбору селекційного матеріалу за показниками екологічної пластичності та стабільності у селекційних програмах слід враховувати ранжовані оцінки генотипів.

Plants respond to environmental conditions not only by plastic changes to their own development and physiology, but also by altering the phenotypes expressed by their offspring. This transgenerational plasticity was initially considered to entail only negative effects of stressful parental environments, such as production of smaller seeds by resource- or temperature-stressed parent plants, and was therefore viewed as environmental noise. Recent evolutionary ecology studies have shown that in some cases, these inherited environmental effects can include specific growth adjustments that are functionally adaptive to the parental conditions that induced them, which can range from contrasting states of controlled laboratory environments to the complex habitat variation encountered by natural plant populations. Preliminary findings suggest that adaptive transgenerational effects can be transmitted by means of diverse mechanisms including changes to seed provisioning and biochemistry, and epigenetic modifications such as DNA methylation that can persist across multiple generations. These non-genetically inherited adaptations can influence the ecological breadth and evolutionary dynamics of plant taxa and promote the spread of invasive plants. Interdisciplinary studies that join mechanistic and evolutionary ecology approaches will be an important source of future insights.

Мета. Порівняльна оцінка за врожайністю та адаптивністю сортів ячменю ярого Миронівського інституту пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН різних років реєстрації. Методи. Дослідження проведені в Миронівському інституті пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН у 2013–2017 рр. відповідно до загальноприйнятих методик. Об’єкт досліджень – 19 сортів ячменю ярого миронівської селекції зареєстрованих в Україні за період 1995–2017 рр. Для характеристики взаємодії генотип–середовище та диференціації сортів за врожайністю і стабільністю використали низку найбільш поширених підходів: S. A. Eberhart, W. A. Russel (1966); G. Wricke (1962); C. S. Lin, M. R. Binns (1988); M. Huehn (1990); А. В. Кильчевский, Л. В. Хотылёва (1985); В. В. Хангильдин, Н. А. Литвиненко (1981); J. L. Purchase та ін. (2000); AMMI; GGE biplot. Результати. Частка умов року досліджень у загальній варіації становила 83,40%. Достовірні, але суттєво нижчі значення мали генотип – 10,65% та взаємодія генотип–середовище – 5,95%. Перші дві головні компоненти GGE biplot пояснювали дещо більшу частку взаємодії генотип–середовище (85,58%) порівняно з AMMI моделлю (80,9%). Кореляційний аналіз виявив, що середня врожайність (Mean) мала вищесередній зв’язок як з максимальним (Max) (r = 0,69), так і мінімальним (Mіn) (r = 0,72) її значеннями. Сильну позитивну кореляцію Mean виявлено з парамет­рами: СЦГі (r = 0,88), Hom (r = 0,86), Sc (r = 0,82). Дуже сильний негативний зв’язок Mean відзначено з Pi (r = -0,96). Для Max середній негативний зв’язок спостерігали лише з Pi (r = -0,60). Mіn сильно корелювала з Sc (r = 0,96), СЦГі (r = 0,87), Hom (r = 0,84). Негативну сильну кореляцію відзначено Min з Sgi (r = -0,86). Між деякими показниками виявлено зв’язок від функціонального позитивного: δ2CAЗi і Кgi (r = 1,00), Wi і Lgi (r = 0,98), СЦГі і Hom (r = 0,98), СЦГі і Sc (r = 0,96), S2di і Wi (r = 0,96), Wi і ASV (r = 0,94), Sc і Hom (r = 0,94), δ2CAЗi і bi (r = 0,93), S2di і ASV (r = 0,93) до сильного негативного: Sgi іСЦГі (r = -0,94), Sgi і Sc(r = -0,92), Sgi і Hom (r = -0,91), Pi і СЦГі (r = -0,83), Pi і Sc (r = -0,80), Pi і Hom (r = -0,79). Висновки. Системна порівняльна оцінка статистичними і графічними підходами свідчить, що внесені до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні у 2016–2017 рр. сорти ячменю ярого ‘Віраж’, ‘Талісман Миронівський’, ‘МІП Мирний’, ‘МІП Салют’, ‘МІП Сотник’, ‘МІП Азарт’, ‘МІП Богун’ переважають створені на попередніх етапах селекційної роботи сорти як за продуктивним, так і адаптивним потенціалом.

Purpose. To estimate the ecological plasticity of common millet yield under conditions of Steppe, Forest-Steppe and Forest of Ukraine. Methods. Mathematical and statistical: determination of stability and plasticity by Eberhart & Russell method, correlation analysis. Results. As a result of correlation analysis of millet cultivated areas during the period of 2011?2020, it was revealed that cultivated areas in Ukraine depend on the world ones (r = 0.34). It was determined that a high level of common millet yield was obtained in the forest-steppe zone, namely in Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Sumy and Kharkiv regions (2.20?2.51 t/ha). Quite high rates of yield were obtained in Vinnytsia, Kyiv (Forest-Steppe zone) and Kirovohrad (Steppe zone) regions (1.86?2.02 t/ha). Low yield over 10 years was noted in Rivne, Zhytomyr and Volyn regions, which belong to the Forrest zone (1.09?1.34 t/ha). It is shown that during 2011?2015 high variability of millet yield was observed in Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia and Volyn regions. The coefficient of variation was 42.0?71.3%. During 2016?2020 significant variation was noted in Donetsk, Volyn and Odesa regions. The coefficient of variation was 31.8?43.9%. In the period from 2016 to 2020, high plasticity of the yield trait was noted in Vinnitsa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Sumy and Khmelnitsky regions. During 2016?2020 high plasticity trait of millet yield was in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy and Poltava regions. Conclusions. According to the results of the studies, it was found that with a reduction in the area under millet in the world, the volume of its production in Ukraine increases. It was determined that the hig?hest yield of millet was obtained in the Forest-Steppe zone during the years of observation. To create an industrial hemp variety of the Central European ecological and geographical type with a high cannabigerol content and universal application. Methods. Breeding (self-pollination, creation of artificial populations, selection), field, biochemical (thin-layer and gas-liquid chromatography of cannabinoid compounds), instrumental and technological assessment of fibre quality, and statistical methods. Results. Variety ‘Vik 2020’ was obtained as a result of creation of artificial populations. The plants are characterized by higher content of cannabigerol (1.034 ± 0.0323%), and almost zero of other secondary metabolites, such as cannabidivarin, cannabidiol, cannabichromene and psychotropic tetrahydrocannabinol (0.003 ± 0.0011; 0.018 ± 0.0080; 0.012 ± 0.0027, and 0.005 ± 0.0012%, respectively). The t rait of cannabigerol content is quite stable within the population and is not correlated with the trait of tetrahydrocannabinol content (r = -0.23). TLC showed that cannabigerol accumulated mainly in the form of cannabigerolic acid and to a lesser extent as a neutral compound, which is consistent with the theory that this substance is a precursor for the synthesis of other cannabinoids. According to the results of the competitive variety test, when growing to obtain fibre and seeds, the variety features short height, specifically significantly lower total (206.4 cm) and technical stem length (135.6 cm) compared to the standard variety, significantly higher inflorescence length (70.8 cm), which determine the formation of the significant yield of biomass suitable for pharmaceutical use and high seed yield (0.98 t/ha). The yield of total fibre was the same as in the standard variety (29.0%), but its quality and technological value for primary processing were higher. The variety had a homogeneous sex structure, resistance to bioltic and abiotic environmental factors. Plants reached biological maturity in 116 days (BBCH 89). This cultivar is recommended for obtaining seeds, quality fiber and potentially cannabigerol (on condition of changes in legislation). Conclusions. The efficiency of using self-pollinating lines in breeding with their subsequent combining into a synthetic population and improving selection was proved by the case of a new variety of industrial hemp ‘Vik 2020’, characterized by an increased content of cannabigerol and the absence of psychotropic properties
