Koçansız Şeker Mısırı Silajlarının Kalitesine Sodyum Format Katkısının Etkisi

Bu çalışma, farklı düzeylerde organik asit temeline dayalı sodyum format (SF) ilavesinin koçansız şeker mısır silajlarının ham besin madde içerikleri, fermentasyon kalitesi, kuru madde tüketimi, sindirilebilir kuru madde ve nispi yem değeri üzerine etkisini tespit etmek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada, koçansız mısır hasıllarına %0 SF (kontrol grubu); %1 SF ve %2 SF ilave edilerek gruplar oluşturulmuş ve 60 gün fermentasyona bırakılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda, SF katkısının mısır silajlarının kuru madde, ham protein, ham yağ, ADF, NDF, nişasta, ME, asetik asit, propiyonik asit, bütirik asit ve etanol içeriklerini azalttığı, buna karşılık laktik asit, ham kül ve nişasta düzeylerini artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırma silajlarının pH değerlerinin, %1 SF ilavesiyle istatistiksel olarak önemli düzeyde azaldığı belirlenirken; kuru madde tüketimi, sindirilebilir kuru madde ve nispi yem değerlerinin ise arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda, %1 SF ilavesinin koçansız mısır silajlarının pH’sını düşürücü ve laktik asit artırıcı etkisinin yanı sıra kuru madde tüketimi, sindirilebilir kuru madde ve nispi yem değerleri üzerine pozitif etkisi nedeniyle kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Molecular hydrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, flammable, and diatomic gas. Molecular hydrogen is dissolved directly in water to be used in the form of hydrogen-rich water (HRW) to keep the freshness of fruits and vegetables. The shelf-life of the product was increased and the quality attributes were maintained when hydrogen was applied to some food products such as milk, tea, and fruit juices. Some grain products and greens grew rapidly and their antioxidant substance levels increased when they were supplied with hydrogen-rich water. Molecular hydrogen has shown an important application in food drying in recent years, was used especially in reducing atmosphere drying (RAD) technology. Few studies have been conducted on the use of molecular hydrogen in food products. Bu çalışma, Tokat/Erbaa ve Tokat/Kazova lokasyonlarında tarla koşullarında 2017 yılında topraktan artan dozlarda (0, 3, 6 ve 9 kg da-1) MgSO4 uygulamalarının Xanthi 81 tütün çeşidinin yaprak verimi, kalitesi ile yaprağın bazı kimyasal (Mg, S, N, K, P, nikotin, şeker, klorogenik ve rutin konsantrasyonu) içeriklerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre üç tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuş olup, hasat olgunluğuna gelen yapraklar üç elde hasat edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, artan dozlarda MgSO4 uygulaması ile Erbaa ve Kazova lokasyonlarında yetiştirilen tütün çeşidinin yaprak veriminde artışlar meydana gelmiştir. Yaprak veriminde ortaya çıkan artış en fazla MgSO4’ın 6 kg da-1 dozunda görülmüş ve bu artış Erbaa lokasyonunda %22, Kazova lokasyonunda ise %6,4 düzeyinde olmuştur. Artan MgSO4 uygulamaları ile yaprak Mg ve S konsantrasyonlarında istatiksel olarak önemli artışlara neden olduğu, en fazla artışın yaprak veriminde olduğu gibi MgSO4’ın 6 kg da-1 dozunda olduğu görülmüştür. Tütün için çok önemli bir alkaloid bileşeni olan nikotin konsantrasyonu MgSO4 uygulaması ile her iki lokasyonda da azalmıştır. Sonuçlar, artan dozlarda MgSO4 uygulamalarının tütün yaprağının veriminde artışa neden olduğu, yaprak Mg ve S konsantrasyonlarında artışa, nikotin konsantrasyonlarında ise azalmaya neden olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.

Oat breeding activities at the Transitional Zone Agricultural Research Institute (TZARI) have been continuing since 1929. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to select those that are high in yield and quality from local oat lines that are compatible with regional conditions and to register them as new oat cultivars. Field trials were conducted in rainfed conditions in Eskişehir TZARI Central and Hamidiye Campuses in the 2017-2018 crop season. In the study, ninehteen local lines (Avena sativa L.) collected from different parts of the country and Checota, Kahraman, Kırklar, Yeniçeri and Sebat varieties as a standard were used. In this research, besides various agro-morphological traits such as grain yield (GY), thousand kernel weight (TKW), plant height (PH), lodging score (LS), heading days (HD), grain protein content (PC), beta-glucan (BG), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) values were examined. According to the results of this study, differences between genotypes in parameters other than ADF and NDF values were found statistically significant. The means of grain yield was 2,93 t ha-1, and the GY of genotypes was ranged from 2,31 to 3,58 t ha-1 in the trial. TKW was ranged from 25,5 to 37,1g; PH was 83,3 to 130,2 cm; HD was 126,0 to 141,0 days; BG was 3,29 to 5,16%; PC was 13,4 to 15,9%; ADF was 16,4 to 19,4%; NDF was 30,8- 38,8% in the genotypes. Accordingly, G13, G16, G19, G21,G22 and G23 local oat lines have been found to be promising in terms of targeted agro-morphological and quality characteristics and transferred to advanced level in the oat breeding program.

The basic rule in honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) rearing is to work with qualified queens. Quality queen means strong and healthy colonies. Honey bee colonies are a social community, each managed by a single queen bee. The queen bee is the only female that produces eggs in the colony under normal conditions, and the quality and healthy queen is important for the continuity of the colony. Many factors affect the quality of the queen bee, such as the rearing colony, the age of the transferred larva and the transfer medium, the season, cell emergence weight, spermatheca charged, the characteristics of the starter and finisher hives. In this paper, the issues to be considered in raising a quality queen are emphasized.

In turkey, one of the most important problem of livestock’s production is insufficiency of quality forage crop, but still few forage species are cultivated. On the other hand, conservation of plant genetic resources has become an important problem in the world today. Indeed, biodiversity is an indispensable element of human life, especially food, and it is estimated that 20% of these resources will extinct by 2030. The aim of study was to determine some quality traits of white sweet clover (Melilotus alba Desr.) collected from natural flora of Bilecik province. In this study, plants were collected at the flowering stage and investigated of 17 genotypes. The determined quality traits of genotypes as fallows; crude protein, ADF, NDF, RFV, K, P, Mg, Ca and Ca/P, and these traits were noted as11.99-21.07%, 27.70-40.53%, 43.31-55.84%, 93.44-147.02, 1.300-2.807%, 0.187-0.310%, 0.127-0.350%, 0.490-1.417% and 2.05-5.92%, respectively. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the quality of the white sweet clover genotypes collected from Bilecik natural flora have been sufficient for animal feeding and have a significant potential for future breeding activities.

Bu çalışma, azotlu gübre miktarı ve uygulama formunun ekmeklik buğdayın tane verimi ve kalitesi üzerine etkisinin araştırmak amacıyla Eskişehir Geçit Kuşağı Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü’nde kuru (yağmura bağımlı) ve sulu koşullarda iki üretim sezonunda yürütülmüştür. Kuru koşullarda 7 adet ve sulu koşullarda 8 adet ekmeklik buğday çeşidi materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Üre, başaklanma döneminde, granül ve yapraktan uygulama şeklinde verilmiştir. Her uygulamada çeşitlerin tane verimi, bazı teknolojik kalite özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Her iki denemede yapraktan üre uygulaması ile SDS sedimantasyon değeri, protein oranı, gluten agregasyon enerji değeri (AGGEN) ve maksimum tork (BEM) değerlerinde artış olurken; peak maksimum zaman (PMT) değerinde azalma olmuştur. Kuru ve sulu şartlarda çeşitler arasında SDS sedimantasyon değerleri açısından istatistiki olarak önemli farklılar olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada; sulu ve kuru şartlarda yapraktan üre uygulaması ile granüle göre genotiplerden yüksek ekmeklik kalite ile ilişkili olarak Glu-A1 lokusunda 2* alt ünitesi taşıyanların tane veriminde %9,0, protein oranında %6,5, sedimantasyon değerinde %17,0 ve BEM değerinde %3,8; Glu-D1 lokusunda 5+10 alt ünitesi taşıyanların tane verimde %8, protein oranında %5,6, sedimantasyon değerinde %16,0, BEM değerinde %6,4; Glu-B1 lokusunda 7+9 alt ünitesi taşıyanların tane veriminde %7,0, protein oranında %6,0, sedimantasyon değerinde %19,6 ve BEM değerinde %7,2 artış olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, ekmeklik buğdayın tane verimi ve teknolojik kalite özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesinde başaklanma döneminde yapraktan üre uygulamasının oldukça olumlu sonuçlar verdiği görülmüştür.

In the crop production, quality should be increased along with yield. Nonetheless, there are amounts that people should take from each group of nutrients daily to ensure adequate and balanced nutrition. As known, malnutrition has negative effects on human health, which causes some diseases. Field crops, as well as other feeding groups, are of great importance in human nutrition. It is known that oil plants, which belong to the group of industrial plants, have an important place in human nutrition as in the vast majority of field crops. Thus, in this article, some important oil plants will be examined in terms of human nutrition.

Yield and quality performances of 27 soybean cultivars were evaluated in two years field experiment between 2015 and 2016 at the Experimental Farm of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Nigde Omer Halisdemir University, Nigde, located in the Central Anatolia Region. The field experiments were laid out in the randomized complete block design with three replications in each year. The main phenological stages of development such as time to emergence, flowering, time to pod formation and time to maturity were determined as calendar days. Plant height, the first pod height, numbers of branch, pod and seed per plant, number of seed per pod, 100-seed weight, protein content, oil content and seed yield per decar were determined as yield and quality parameters. The results of two-year study revealed that the soybean cultivars differed significantly for all characters studied under Nigde conditions. It was also observed that yield and quality performances of cultivars fluctuated in years. Average seed yield values of cultivars were ranged from 135.2 kg/da-1 (Inton-I. maturity group) to 295.8 kg/da-1 (Adasoy-IV maturity group) in 2015 and 2016. In two years mean, the cultivars Adasoy, Sa-88 and Nova were determined as the most promising genotypes for main crop production in Nigde conditions.

There are 97 local olive varieties registered in our country, and Saurani is an olive variety from originating Hatay/Altınözü. Hatay province, which ranks first in olive production in the Mediterranean Region, has very suitable climate and soil conditions for olive cultivation. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of olive maturity on quality parameters such as free fatty acids, peroxide value and fatty acid composition of the oil obtained from the Saurani olive variety grown in Hatay. For this purpose, olive oil was obtained by mechanical method from olives collected from Saurani variety in 3 different maturity periods of the 2020 production season. In Saurani olive oil, free fatty acids and peroxide numbers were found in the range of 0.62-0.91 % (oleic acid) and 3.68-5.26 meq O2/kg respectively. The amount of free fatty acids increased with maturity. In Saurani olive oil were determined oleic acid in the range of 66.32%-68.79%, palmitic acid in the range of12.47-13.75%, linoleic acid in the range of 11.43-13.84%, stearic acid in the range of 3.16-3.42%, palmitoleic acid 1.12%-1.34%, linolenic acid 0.88-1.01% and arachidic acid 0.41-0.52. It was determined that decrease in oleic acid content and an increase in linoleic acid content with maturity. It has been determined that Saurani olive oil is within the limits specified in the Turkish Food Codex on Olive Oil and Pirina Olive Oil in terms of the examined properties.
