For studying the behavior of underground water, intrusion of salty water, determi nation of parameters of aquifer, and movement of polluting agents, among others, analogical, analytical or mathematical models are used, which can be codified in a programming lan guage. The selected models of simulation in this article talk about the determination of parameters of the aquifer, stable and non stable flow of underground water, intrusion of sea water, and movement of polluting agents. The results obtained by the programs, in general, show a significant saving of time in the processing of information, besides giving the facility of being able to combine input data and to evaluate their answer, taking care to introduce real values according to the selected model. It should not be forgotten that they are prepared for specific situations, with particular assumptions of each model.  | Para el estudio del comportamiento del agua subterránea, intrusión de agua salada, determinación de parámetros del acuífero, movimiento de contaminantes, entre otros, se utilizan modelos ya sean analógicos, analíticos o matemáticos, los cuales están o se pueden codificar en un lenguaje de programación. Los modelos de simulación seleccionados en este artículo se refieren a la determinación de parámetros del acuífero, flujo estable y no estable del agua subterránea, intrusión de agua de mar, y movimiento de contaminantes. Los resultados obtenidos por los programas en general, muestran un significativo ahorro de tiempo en el procesamiento de información, además de dar la facilidad de poder combinar datos de entrada y evaluar su respuesta, cuidando de introducir valores reales de acuerdo al modelo seleccionado. Tampoco hay que olvidar que están hechos para situaciones específicas, con asunciones particulares de cada modelo.
