Distilled water and HCl solutions were used as an eluent. The extracts were prepared by flooding the samples of sandy, loess and loamy air-dry soil and sieved through a sieve of 1 mm mesh diameter. The samples were flooded for 12 and 24 days. The mass determined, total content Mn in soils was measured by AAS technique. The results obtained, to great extent, depended on the method used for preparing water extract from the soil; time of flooding of soil samples, mass ratio soil; solution, HCl concentration
