Cermak, B. (Jihoceska Univ., Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic). Zemedelska Fakulta)
Nutritive values, chemical compositions and quality parameters of different wheat, rye and triticale varieties are compared in this article. The selection of feed cereals should be done according to the following criteria: starch concentration: 55-60 % for rye, 65-70 % for wheat and triticale, N compounds concentration: 10.5-12.5 % for rye, 10-14 % for wheat and 11-14 % for triticale, fibre concentration: 2 % for all 3 species. The availability of nutrients may be increased by using special treatments like extrusion-cooking or by addition of enzyme cocktails.
