Species composition and distribution of harpacticoid copepods (Copepoda, Harpacticoida) in the southern Baltic were studied in the years 1961-99. A total of 25 species new for the Baltic proper were identified; one of them proved new for science, while 17 were observed to occur exclusively beneath the isohaline of the Baltic water column
